SAFE stands for 'Sydney's Animals For Everyone'. We rehome animals, mainly cats in Sydney Australia. We also offer premium boarding for cats.

It was launched in September 2017 by a group of professional animal carers who run the charity on an unpaid basis and since that time SAFE has earned a reputation as a trusted place for unwanted, home

less and stray animals. SAFE cares for animals both at SAFE Haven in Roseville and through foster carers. All dogs are cared for by foster carers
Animals are either surrendered or found abandoned by good samaritans. All animals available for adoption are microchipped, desexed, health checked, behaviour assessed, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. The charity is run by a committee voted for by members and headed by a President. Meet Simba, an adorable bundle of energy with a playful spirit! Rescued from a difficult situation, this sweet kitten has already shown how resilient and loving he can be. Simba adores being picked up and stroked, and he’s always ready to pounce on his favourite toys, like feathers on a stick or a toy mouse.

He has lived with other cats, a dog, and adult children, so he’s well-socialised in many ways. Simba’s playful, affectionate nature makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for an energetic and friendly little buddy.

Although Simba has lived with other pets, we recommend caution if you’re introducing him to a home with other cats. His rescuer adored him and even considered keeping him, but he didn’t quite get along with the resident cats. Simba is best suited to a home where he can be the star of the show and receive all the love and attention he deserves!

Initially surrendered as a frightened, defensive boy, Willa revealed her true self after a surprising turn of events. Following a miscarriage and emergency desexing surgery, she slowly began to trust again, showing her foster carer a gentler, more affectionate side. Now, two months into her recovery journey, Willa craves human connection. She loves neck scratches, enjoys gentle strokes along her back, and will follow her human around, hoping for more love and attention.

Willa’s ideal home would be a calm, patient environment with people who understand her need for a gentle, gradual approach. She’s lived with other cats before and gets along fine with them, but due to her past and cautious nature, she would do best in a household without young children. Willa is a testament to resilience and trust; with the right family, she’s ready to blossom further into a loving, loyal companion.

Jenny is a curious and adventurous little 8-month-old lady, who spent the last 4 months in foster care with her siblings Domino and Harry. She is full of energy and loves to play. Often she will follow her carers from room to room on the off chance they are on their way to drag a string or throw a toy around.

Jenny can also be very affectionate and will happily purr away while being given pats. She even enjoys the occasional belly rub… right up until she decides it’s play time again.

Due to her easygoing personality, Jenni would suit any home as long as she is given appropriate time to settle in.

𝐖𝐡𝐨'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲? Last week A WHOPPPING 𝟏,𝟐𝟐𝟑 eligible cans/bottles were recycled and $122.30 donated to SAFE!! This is amazing. We have no way of telling if lots of new people donated or if one of our regulars had a big party, but we hope that maybe it's catching on and will continue so that we can continue to rescue, desex, vaccinate and rehome animals in need - including cats like Sara.... So please 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐍! 🙏

💕Cleo is available for adoption💕 We’ve been fostering Cleo for 3 months and she’s an absolute sweetheart. She’s so affectionate and loves attention, often following us all around the house.
