⚠️ FOSTER CARER NEEDED ⚠️

Frankie is a 3 year old Beaglier x Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a foster to adopt home. He can live in a home with kids over 5 and can live with other dogs, but no cats. Frankie loves playing with kids, chasing a ball, but does have a lot of energy. He doesn’t mind being left alone and will just hang out in the backyard. He would do best in a home that has a furry friend to play with or an active family that doesn’t mind his bounciness.

Frankie is located in Sydney, NSW with interstate fostering to adopt being possible with a virtual meet and greet and pickup from Sydney.

🐾 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 – 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞 & 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩 (𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩) 🐾

After 610 days in SAFE’s care, these two boys finally found their forever home with Clare last October – and they are thriving! 💛

Charlie is a foodie at heart 🍽️, always eager for treats and enrichment puzzles. He’s also discovered the joy of window hammocks, where he spends his time watching the world go by. And just recently, he’s even started giving head rubs to Clare—such a big milestone! 🥰

Skittles got his new name because of the way he skittles around the climbing trees at top speed! 🏃‍♂️ He’s growing more confident every day, hanging out in the open and playing with his favorite catnip bunny and wand toys. These two boys love playing chase, tackling each other for fun, and curling up together for naps.

Long-term cats like Charlie & Skittles may take a little extra time to adjust, but their love and companionship are so worth it. If you’re thinking about adopting, consider giving a long-termer a chance—you could be their hero! 🏡🐾.

The last words go to Clare who says "Seeing them happy and settled after such a long wait makes our hearts so full. 💕 I’m so grateful to have the company of these two beautiful souls. I do hope the other SAFE long-termers find their forever home soon. Watching their slow but steady progress is so rewarding".

🚨URGENT FOSTER CARER NEEDED 🚨

Boyka the 18 month German Shepherd x is still looking for a temporary foster home. He is currently in the pound (who are very graciously keeping him for now) but this is not the best environment for him. He is looking for a family who can give him a lot of TLC to help him put on weight and teach him how to be a dog with some basic training. He has lived with other dogs and children before, but would prefer some alone time during his recovery.

Accessories (harness, lead, preventatives, bed, etc) are provided, but we do ask foster carers to provide food.

Boyka is located in Sydney, NSW with interstate foster not being available at this time due to him needing vet work completed.

Nugget is a 3 year old labradoodle who is looking for a foster to adopt or forever home. He can live in a home with kids of any age and can live with other dogs, but has no experience with cats. Biggest loves snuggling up to you on the couch at night and loves playing with any and all humans. He can get a bit excited and bouncy at times, but understands when it’s time to relax. Nugget is desexed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Nugget is located in Sydney, NSW with interstate adoption being possible with pickup from Sydney.

"Bonnie is a biscuit making machine and a feisty little princess and her favourite game is hiding in the cat tunnel to ambush the 2 resident boys. She is cuddly and chatty and amazing with the kids - she often chooses to sit in their laps. We're super happy.
Bonnie has well and truly settled in and her true cheeky personality has started to shine through. The 3 cats sleep in cardboard boxes & Bonnie soon took over the boss cat's box so he had no choice but to try and squeeze into her smaller one. She has now taken to ripping apart the boxes - (I’m hoping that’s nothing to worry about) and loves scaling the highest points of the house. We've had our first plant casualty - thank goodness they're all pet-safe plants, just not safe from Bonnie!"

This is very sad news! We would encourage you to reach out to your local councillor at the Northern Beaches Council and react to this article on Manly Observer to try and get the attention on the cat crisis in Sydney, and to advocate for better funding for our furry friends looking for forever homes. The removal of rescue and pound spaces for cats and dogs is never a good thing, the pets need all the help they can get to find homes! 🐾

Council has centralised the Northern Beaches animal holding services to one pound, cutting services from Pittwater Animal Hospital.

You may have received an offer to make a free will from some of the larger animal facilities. They are able to do this because they pay a large fee to the companies they partner with. Unfortunately smaller rescues like us can't afford this fee. Please think of us when planning your estate. Leave a donation to where it will really count and where every single cent is spent on the animals. SAFE Animal Rehoming is a No-Kill shelter.

🚨FOSTER CARER NEEDED ASAP 🚨

Boyka is an 18mth German Shepherd x with a rough start in life. He doesn’t have a lot of house experience so would feel most comfortable in the backyard for now until he settles into a home and feels safe. He has lived with other dogs and children before, but during his recovery he would prefer to be the only animal.

He is currently in foster care, but they are unable to keep him any longer, so Boyka is looking for a short or long term foster home from tonight (13/03).

Boyka is in Sydney, NSW and interstate fostering is not possible at this time.
