MUST LOVE DOGS!
K9 Pro is currently looking to grow our team. The position we have available is a casual position to work in our Kennels.
This position is a weekend role for both Saturday and Sunday, with the opportunity to also work extra hours and days when needed.
Though no experience is necessary, it is highly desirable to have worked in animal care and or kennel environments and be confident around dogs.
We have kennels to board dogs for holidays as well as our board and train programs for behaviour rehabilitation.
We board all different breeds and sizes of dogs with varying temperaments.
While K9 Pro work with both human and dog aggressive dogs, you will not be required to handle dogs outside of your skill set.
You must have the ability to work on your own as well as in a team environment.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Cleaning kennels
Washing and feeding dogs
Reporting any signs of illness, disease or discomfort observed in animals to the
management immediately
Walking and caring for those dogs that need it.
Assist in general cleaning of facility including, cleaning of external and internal areas, mowing and general gardening tasks, moving of equipment and stores.
Aside for previous experience, we would be looking for the following:
Genuine love for dogs and desire to work in the profession.
Confidence around dogs
Eagerness to learn.
Flexible with time where required.
Strong people-skills
Driven and motivated
Capable of working well in a team environment
