FREE ENGRAVED DOG TAGS FOR BLACKTOWN CITY COUNCIL RESIDENTS

We want to help more lost dogs return home WITHOUT coming to council shelters. Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre is one of the highest-intake shelters in NSW, and every day they receive many lost dogs without up-to-date microchips or tags.

So, we are giving away 1000 FREE engraved pet tags to dog owners who live in the Blacktown City Council area. All you need is a microchipped dog with up-to-date microchip details. Limit of 3 tags per household.

Not sure if your dog is microchipped? Bring your dog to BARC (20 Owen Street, Glendenning 9am - 3pm weekdays), and the staff will scan the dog for a microchip and check if the details are up-to-date. If not, the staff can assist you in updating it, at no cost. If the dog isn't microchipped, they can microchip them for free for Blacktown City Council residents (limit of 2 free microchips per resident).

Do you have the microchip number already and want to verify if it's up-to-date? Email BARC at [email protected] with the microchip number, your full name, address and phone number or visit their facility in Glendenning with your pet.

If you are a resident who lives in Blacktown City Council and have already confirmed that the microchip is up-to-date (including your name, phone number, and current address), get your free engraved pet tag here -> https://bit.ly/free-engraved-dog-tags

This is a www.findmyowner.com.au initiative, proudly supported by the NSW Government.

To all of our dear clients,

Unfortunately, after much deliberation we have decided to cease opening on Saturdays. We will instead be open all day on Tuesdays, which will assist with the back log of surgical cases as well as open up another afternoon/evening you will be able to come in to see us.

This will commence the week starting the 15th of July. We apologise if this is going to inconvenience anyone, but this is also based on staffing and workload changes. We hope that you understand, be kind, and acknowledge that we have decided this is the best decision moving forward.
