I’m already on thin ice with my horse trainer for focusing too much on the dogs and travelling to dog shows every spare moment! 🫣 So here is my black stallion Zambucca working hard with Lesley training and learning all the very fancy higher level dressage movements. He tries so hard on the piaff you can see his little brain ticking over, just needs to not suck back with his head when he’s unsure. He’s also working on the half pass and the counter canter which he has certainly improved a lot in a week. Little by little he will get stronger and more confident with these movements. I can’t wait to one day ride these fancy movements on him in a dressage test!

Spy (dBL The Spy Who Loved Me) after a few ground work sessions with Lesley he now stands reasonably well for a hose down.
He’s such a stunning yearling going through another growth spurt. Expecting him to mature 16.2hh+. By Kenlock Indian Sky out of dBL Chambord Royale (Noblewood Park Casino Royale X Meridian Dior).
Since a foal he has had regular worming, farrier, tied up, leading and floating and has had his first couple weeks of desensitising ground work with Lesley.

He attended a Protocol Day at Hawkesbury. He scored an impressive score of 68.57% in the 1.2.
Can’t thank my trainer Lesley enough for all the hard work she’s put into him. She is still working on getting his balance and transitions so I can only imagine how amazing he will be once he’s even more established.
A lovely comment from the judge “3 clear active paces, canter developing, will improve with strength. A beautifully ridden test showing empathy and clearly ridden. Good job, a lovely future for this young man”
