Poor Coco was feeling unwell lately and her family was worried about her. Thanks to our hard working teams at both Greencross Mortdale and Greencross Punchbowl, we were able to diagnose and treat Coco's mystery illness. It turned out she had pyometra - a potentially fatal infection of the uterus. In serious cases, the infection can spread into the abdomen and bloodstream. Good news for Coco though. She was rushed into emergency surgery where over 3kg of infection was removed!

Coco deserves a bravery award as she was the bestest girl ever. She did not complain once while in hospital and cooperated with all her treatments.

Many thanks also to Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) who helped to watch over Coco afterhours when we were closed overnight.

Pyometra can occur in any female dog (and less commonly cats) and can easily be prevented by desexing. If you would like to discuss the health benefits of desexing, please give us a call and book in an appointment with our caring team.

LOVING HOME FOUND. This gorgeous, friendly and smoochy 10 month old girl is looking for a new home. She would suit being either an only cat or a 1 sibling kitty.

Rusty is fully vaccinated, desexed and had all her preventions. She toilets well in the clinic but could benefit from extra help in the home.
Her microchip number is: 953010006438983.

Rusty was born with a kink in her tail. This is not causing any problems for her and she believes that it is good luck! :)😍🥰😘😎

May was rescued from an underground carpark where she had not been cared for. May would love an indoor home where she can feel safe and live the life of a princess. A patient owner who can offer lots of TLC would benefit May. She loves her food and is super affectionate in her enclosure.

May comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and all her preventions are up to date.

Mama Ronnie came to us a few months ago with her babies and after being found on the streets. We took care of them until the kittens found homes. It is now time for Ronnie to find her forever home. Ronnie is now desexed, had all her preventatives, vaccinations and is microchipped.

She is a delightful girl of approximately 1-1.5 years old. She loves her chicken and spending her days looking out of the window and laying in the sun. She would suit being an indoor kitty and would be happy to have another kitty companion after going through the meeting protocols. She also likes a bit of chat when in the mood and is a calm girl. She also loves head boops.

We will miss her greatly in clinic but a home would be more suitable.

TICK ALERT!
We know spring can bring lots of nasties around our pets like ticks, which can be fatal without prevention and treatment.

As a pet parent please ensure your pet is up to date with tick prevention today. The tick season is well underway with large numbers of paralysis tick cases presenting to vet clinics due to the wet and warm weather.

Ticks are more prevalent in bushy coastal areas across Queensland, New South Wales and into Victoria.

If you think your pet may have ticks, this is an emergency and veterinary attention is required immediately.

On Friday, Simba was in for his dental procedure. Being a bit of a nervous boy, we could not have been more proud of him and his courageous behaviour in clinic. Simba most definitely deserved his bravery award.
