Good news for animals 👏

After the horrific shooting death of 15 dogs in a NSW pound last year, the NSW Parliament has just voted to support a new law that could save thousands of surrendered dogs and cats from euthanasia.

The law forces council pounds to contact rehoming organisations before they euthanise healthy animals to give them a chance to find their forever home rather than be killed.

We are so lucky to have so many dedicated rehoming and rescue organisations in NSW supported by hundreds of volunteers and foster carers, as well as so many folks looking to adopt pets. Thanks to them and all the MPs who've pushed for this important change including Abigail Boyd, Emma Hurst and Alex Greenwich 👏

The bill has passed the upper and lower houses of NSW Parliament with bipartisan support and will return to the upper house amended for approval before it is made law.

I am looking for an honest, reliable person who is highly competent with dogs to help with me with my dog walking business in and around the Hunters Hill area. Initially the position will be Thursday and Fridays but with the possibility of increasing to five days per week over time. The successful applicant will need to satisfy all the following criteria:
• You must confident in your ability to take four dogs at a time for an off leash walk in a park.
• You must live within reasonable proximity to Hunters Hill. This casual nature of this job would make it impractical for someone who would need to travel long distances to work.
• You'll need a drivers license
• You'll need a car that you're happy to transport dogs in.
• You'll need a clear police check
• You'll need your own ABN. This position will be paid as a sub contractor to my business so you would be responsible for paying your own tax etc.
