Its the smile for me

Warning 🛑 distressing for some, view at your own discretion. I Sat on the fence about posting this, it’s distressing to view aswell as be in the moment for. Sam has seizures and his trigger is the blow dryer, I know when he starts barking and salivating that it’s time to turn the dryer off and hold him close and give him plenty of reassurance until he comes out of it. These are challenging grooms but with a lot of love, care, compassionate and gentle reassurance, we are able to get Sam somewhat done. * yes he has seen a vet * his owners are aware of his seizures * if under any circumstances he is not ok to continue, we don’t.

Alice the Samoyed was a really big job and not yet finished. While she will be feeling relief, my body HATES me today 😅 She is an older gal and by the end was getting over it and letting me know so we opted to do this over 2 sessions. A job like this is not a flat rate, we do this on an hourly rate of $100 ph and we earn and are worth every single cent🫧

It’s about damn time 👏🏻 it was impossible not to use this lizzo track! Tilly had her first groom today, we knew it was going to be a challenge so her family came prepared with a lick mat, peanuts butter & her fave treats 🫶🏻 it’s not my best groom but I’m just so glad we got it done 🙌🏻

Super duper proud of Zeus. Hopefully gone are the days of his dramatic yelping Everytime I touch his legs lol I used to have to put him in the sling to do his legs but after a few appts now He is gradually getting better. Today I used my groomers third arm to hold the blow dryer to slowly dry his face as he just about has a fit if you try to dry it, it was a good distraction while I was trimming his paws and it’s also a really great piece of equipment to have so you can do 2 things at once and have both hands to do it!

K9Kate’s Pampered Pets was founded by Kate Kearney in 2013 and became official in January, 2014. With a Diploma in Pet Grooming and various other animal related qualifications including Certificate 2 in Animal Studies, Kate has been a mobile groomer servicing the Penrith and surrounding suburbs for 7 years. We offer mobile dog grooming from the comfort of your own home and where your dog is familiar and comfortable in our fully enclosed fibreglass trailers. Why mobile? Mobile allows your dog to be done at home at a time that's convenient for you. Your dog will be done within a 1.5 hour period (time depends on size and service) and it is a one on one service. There is no other dogs as a distraction, there isn’t several handlers from bathing to coat prepping to grooming, it’s completely one on one. Most importantly is convenience for those who are time poor due to work/home life commitments. As a busy mum I can completely relate to convenience! We use only top quality products and tools to produce an above average finish and trailers cleaned out daily to provide a clean and sterile environment. Both trailers are fully insured, the business covered for public liability and the company with an ABN and registered for GST, you can feel at ease you are using a legit service covered by every aspect. Servicing Penrith and surrounds for 7 years and many more to come. In that 7 years our trailers have seen many pampered pets and for many more, they will continue too.
