Dr. Karim Chammas - Principal Veterinarian and founder of Beecroft Vet, BVSc (Syd), MANZCVS (Feline Medicine)
Karim completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney in 2009. Karim has undertaken further studies in feline medicine, thoracic and abdominal radiology, oncology and abdominal ultrasound. In 2014 Karim attained membership in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Feline Medicine.
Since graduating, Karim has worked in several busy small animal practices in Sydney’s North West including after hours emergency centers. Karim enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a keen interest in emergency medicine. He believes both medicine and surgery are complementary in the successful outcome of many disease processes. Karim enjoys developing lasting relationships with owners as well as animals he treats and believes that a personal connection is vital.
Karim is over the moon in achieving his dream of starting his own veterinary clinic in a region he grew up in. He strives for his clinic to embody many of his ideals of providing the highest veterinary care whilst being compassionate and understanding to the needs of owners. He also is keen on giving back to the local community and appreciates the local trust often held for veterinarians.
Outside of vet (does this exist?) Karim enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, playing electric guitar, gadgets and watching Liverpool FC.
