Account 4545-02937 Operating since 2011, we are a co-operative of volunteer foster carers and passionate animal advocates, working together to achieve our shared vision. We have

a no-kill philosophy, with a focus on finding animals their forever homes through our Foster to Adopt Program. This program is key to our organisation’s success, as it rehabilitates our animals in preparation for their new life. We focus on:
- reducing the number of unwanted and abandoned animals through rehoming
community education
- desexing initiatives, and
- liaising with other welfare organisations

We do this with a direct purpose, which is working towards the introduction of new legislation to give greater protection to all animals. This also serves to provide further direction for other registered rescue organisations. Maggie’s Rescue cares for all our animals through our amazing network of foster carers. They provide a safe and nurturing home for animals in need until their forever home is found.

Meet Galaxy, the cutest button with a bottomless well of love! 💖

She greets her foster carer with sweet ankle rubs and is always first in line for meals, treats, and snacks! 🍽️ An inquisitive foodie, Galaxy’s your personal IT support, especially if you work from home. When it’s nap time, she’s ready to curl up for snuggles—on you or another cat! 🐾

Galaxy is desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Ideal home: Lots of love and attention!
Energy: Playful with my siblings, but also gentle.
Kids: Great with kids 5+ or in an all-adult home.

Want to spread some chaos in the world with Bruce as your ride or die?

Bruce is a great mix of active and chill, he knows how to read the room and settle in when everyone else is. He loves long walks but most of all has an endless appetite for human affection and engagement. This clever cookie has been regularly attending a group dog training club and thrives on building a relationship with humans in this fun and positive environment. Sure he’s working on self improvement in the area of leash reactivity but hey none of us are perfect - we all got work to do. His perfect home will be as the solo pet with a secure yard and humans who don’t have to leave for full office days every day. He’s happy to settle down alone for 4-5 hour stretches nowadays without drama.

🐾 Meet Sasquatch — aka SASSY!

This hilarious little explorer is all heart, all fluff, and kind of a big deal. With striking two-toned eyes, a speckled pink nose, and ears that are ‘almost’ upright, walking down the street with Sassy guarantees you’ll turn heads (and maybe spark a few autograph requests).

Fun Facts About Sassy:
✅ Crate trained & sleeps through the night like a pro
✅ Toilets on command (yes, really)
✅ Knows “sit,” “down,” “bed,” & stays out of the kitchen 👏
✅ Walks like a model on lead
✅ Road-trip ready 🚗

✅ Comes when called (Sassy, but obedient!)
✅ Learning to “wait” at doors

🐶 Personality Check:
Sassy’s all about adventure — hikes, sniffy walks, games, and “supervising” your every move. Cuddles aren’t really the top skill yet, but this pup will happily chill at your feet after a big day. Not clingy, but definitely a bit dramatic if you dare leave without saying goodbye. 💁‍♀️

Currently living with a bunch of foster dog buddies, Sassy plays hard, naps hard, and knows when to switch gears. Total team player — just with a little extra sparkle. ✨

Sassy is still young, smart, and learning fast, she just needs a home where someone’s around most of the time to keep up with the fun.

Maggie’s Rescue

Maggie's Rescue is a NFP, No Kill animal rescue group based in Marrickville in the Inner West of Sydney. We are a co-operative of carers, who are all committed to our mission, which is to save and re-home abandoned and at risk animals, initially into a warm and loving foster home until we are able to find their perfect adoptive home. 🐶🐱

Our vision is that we do this with compassion, honesty and support to all our foster carers, volunteers, adopters and the greater community.

If you are able to offer a safe home to an animal in need or if you are interested in becoming a foster carer, then you will be rewarded with lots of affection and loyalty, and a love which is unconditional and furry!

All of our rescued animal leave our care vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, de-sexed, flea and worm treated.
