Macca is still looking for his forever home 💙

Macca is a 5 month old German Shepherd. This young man is such a beautiful soul, he is very smart and extremely chill for his age. Macca has been such a good boy whilst in care. He goes well with dogs of all ages/sizes, however Macca prefers hanging out with us humans 🐾

He will need a BREED EXPERIENCED owner to continue ongoing training.

For those who have been asking, our little fluff ball Winston is still here in care 💙

Winston was brought into care at 3 weeks old. For those who don't know, hand rearing single puppies can be a challenge.

What mumma dog usually teaches these wee ones in a short amount of time is amazing 🥰

With Winston not having his mumma around we have taken the much needed extra time with him. Between myself and my pack, we are raising a well rounded pup.

Winston is not quite ready to go yet, but keep an eye out as he will be up for adoption soon 🐾

Day 22 with Rocco 💙

He is starting to lose more muscle mass in his back end, he is still in good spirits but I am watching him like a hawk.

Every day we have is a blessing, he has probably had more love and comfort this past few weeks then he's had his whole life 💔

I keep saying it, but what an absolute privilege it is to have him here with me 🐾

Scout is a 5 month old German Shepherd x Rottweiler. This goofball is full of love and energy and is super smart little cookie.

Scout has lived with dogs of all ages and sizes and loves them all 🥰 she has picked up fast on training, walks beautifully on lead and currently sleeps through from 10pm - 7am 🙌

👏DON'T👏 SET👏YOUR👏PUPPY👏UP 👏FOR👏FAILURE👏

Most pups that come into our care are held a bit longer than usual, this is because these poor souls have not had any training. We make sure we take all the time we need to teach them a range of things before they are rehomed.

‼️PLEASE NOTE ‼️
Before anyone says socialisation is the most important, alot of the pups we get in care aren't fully vaccinated so they're not allowed out and about.

We cannot stress how important the below points are!

🐾Setting a routine - providing structure in your daily life helps them make sense of an otherwise unknown world! They need to know what to expect and when.

🐾Toilet training - keeping on top of their toilet training is crucial! Making sure they are taken outside frequently is essential.

Puppies don't have full bladder capacity until they are approximately 12 months old so the more often they are let outside the better.

It is easy for your pup to get distracted by sights and sounds so teaching your dog to go to the toilet on cue can be helpful in saving you time as well as helping you toilet train your pup!

🐾Food training - by approaching your pup whilst they have food whether it be touching their food or bowl as they are eating will help your pup understand you are not a "threat" to their food. This will not only eliminate any food aggression issues in the future, it will also help if you ever need to get something out of your pups mouth!

🐾Noise desensitisation - this is a good way to keep your pup calm in situations that may otherwise make them anxious.

Teaching them that not all loud noises are a threat is crucial! Day to day noises like vacuuming, hairdryer, loud tv, washing machine and even walking through the house heavy footed will help desensitise your pup.

Calmly taking them to the back door to listen when there are fireworks or thunder at a young age is also important, by you not reacting to them it shows them that they aren't a threat.

🐾Handling - by exposing puppies to positive handling experiences from an early age, it helps them be calm and quiet in order to be handled in various situations such as having their nails clipped, getting groomed and vet examinations.
This can be done by:
Touching their paws
Running your hands down their back and legs
Putting your hands on their face

🐾 Lead training - whilst puppies are not allowed outside into the real world until they have had all their vaccinations, it is crucial too start lead training immediately.

Training your puppy how to walk nicely on a lead around the house will not only benefit them but you too!

Whilst I can't fix Rocco's cancer, what I can do is starve it so he has more time 💙

Feeding certain foods starves cancer, the more you feed the slower the tumour will grow.

Rocco is on a slow cooked low fat, soft on the tummy diet.

This batch consists of:

Basa Fillet
Turkey Mince
Pumpkin
Broccoli
Blueberry
Bok Choy
Kale
Spinach
Shiitake Mushroom

Rocco gets additional supplements including:

Milk Thistle
Flaxseed, H**p & Chia

Fat Boy Treats Happy Tummy - Marshmellow Root, Green Banana, Goats Milk & Turmeric.

Rocco isn't the first old boy I've taken in, 5 years ago I was graced with the presence of Old Man Sam. This beautiful boy was was the grand old age of 14 🥹

Old Man Sam wasn't around for long, but boy didn't we have a blast.

Having an oldie is rewarding, it's about giving them comfort and love in their last days - something they so truly deserve.

If you're in a position to take in an oldie, please do 💙 it's so important they have somewhere safe in their final stage of life.

Rocco's had a big day at the vets, further tests have confirmed what I didn't want to hear. Rocco has cancer of the Intestine, Liver and Spleen 😢

These are all the kids that have come through our little rescue so far 🐾 there are only 2 that I haven't had here with me out of the 23....my house has been like a revolving door. 21 dogs since may to be precise 😅

I definitely can't take all the credit, my own dogs have all played their part. They have helped me help these little ones 🐾

My Rottweiler Creed has had the time of his life with all his new friends 😂 he thinks this is the greatest thing ever.

At times it's been like juggling fire. I have had pups that have screamed my house down, pups that have displayed strange behaviours I have never seen before that have made me question do I actually know as much as I think about dog behaviour, and then the pups that have just been an absolute delight and slotted straight in. They are all completely different, through the tears and the tantrums (myself and pups included 😂) we've made it out the other end and they have gone on to find their forever homes.

I put alot of time into these kids, so when I put them up for adoption I make sure they are placed into the right homes. If I write no kids under 5 or must have breed experience or whatever it may be, I will NOT change my mind no matter how much you try to argue the point.

Let this be a reminder, you are wasting your own time as well as mine - I will not settle for anything less then what I've asked for.

These precious souls may not have had the best starts, but they are now loved, safe and will never have a litter of their own 🐾

We finally have Rocco's blood test results. Whilst it confirms he has Pancreatitis, there are a number of markers on Rocco's results that require further investigation 😫

The vet has suggested to start with an ultrasound to see if we can see anything lurking inside him.

I have been adopted 🎉

We are looking for a special home for this beautiful little girl. Tyla is a 3 month old Labrador cross 🥰

Tyla and her siblings entered the pound over a month ago, they showed signs of previously being abused. Whilst they were all confident around eachother, they would cower to human approach or touch.

Tylas siblings were put up for adoption at the pound but Tyla wasn't available as she presented blood in her urine as well as a sore stomach - we believe someone has kicked her really hard 😔

She has come a long way since being in care, Tyla is gaining confidence each day. She is very sweet and gentle, great with dogs all sizes and ages 💜

Tyla will not be ready to leave until the 15th of January - we can do meet and greets before then though 🙌

This beautiful girl is not suited to a home with small children, she is still learning to trust us humans and doesn't not cope well with sudden movements.

Thought I'd give you all a laugh and show you what happened on today's episode of what did my Rottweiler get up to 🙃 2 secenarios here, I didn't close the bottom lock properly or he's figured out a how to unlock it, but either way how on earth did he squeeze through 🤯😂 BTW the bottom door was cable tied shut too. A day in the life of young Creed 😂🤷‍♀️🤯🤦‍♀️
