Corns in dog pads.
Limping dog? Please make sure to check their footpads. Dogs can have corns just like humans. They are quite painful and need to be removed. A simple procedure can make your pet pain free. More common in big dogs and greyhounds. This is the foot of a Greyhound who was seen yesterday and been limping for months.

Pet Owners Guide To Surviving Easter
Tip 2 – Chocolate
It is well known now that chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats but it is still something we see all too often. Easter and chocolate go hand in hand so it’s inevitable that at some point there will be some kind of cocoa product in the house. Chocolate contains the toxins caffeine and theobromine which cause vomiting and diarrhoea on the mild end of the toxicity range and seizures or heart arrhythmias on the severe end. If your pet ingests one of these products the best thing to do is pick up the phone and call the nearest vet. We can calculate the toxicity level based on their weight, the type of chocolate and how much your pet has ingested and recommend the next best steps. As much fun as a Chocolate Egg Hunt is, it’s best to keep your pets away from this part of the Easter action.

We are looking for a vet nurse to join our team. It is a part time role which will suit a student nurse. The main shifts that need to be covered are Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8AM- 1PM.
