🐾☀️ Beat the Heat: Pet Safety Reminder! ☀️🐾

With scorching temperatures anticipated in Sydney over the next few days, here are some tips to ensure they stay cool and comfortable:

🌊 Hydration is Key:
Ensure your pets stay hydrated by placing multiple water sources in shaded areas. Be mindful of spillage, and replenish water regularly.

🏡 Shade and Cool Retreats:
Provide your pets access to shaded, cool spaces. If possible, bring them indoors and create a comfortable environment with fans or air conditioning to beat the heat.

🚫 Hot Surfaces Warning:
Avoid hot surfaces like cement, which can be uncomfortable or even harmful for your pets' paws. Opt for grassy or shaded areas for play and rest.

🚗 No to Parked Cars:
Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a brief moment. Cars can heat up rapidly, posing a severe risk to your pet's health.

🌡️ Signs of Heatstroke:
Be vigilant for signs of heatstroke. If you suspect your pet is affected, act swiftly:

Hose them with cool (not ice-cold) water.
Place cool, wet towels on them.
Ensure constant access to water.
Most importantly, seek immediate veterinary attention. Heatstroke can lead to serious complications, and prompt care is essential.
