Here at SIEC we are excited for another fantastic year ahead of us with many fantastic returning events, some excited new events and some key projects to achieve!

What a fantastic 2024!!

We held 78 amazing events from local training days to international competition! Making up a total of 180 event days!

With a great variety of:
- Equestrian (including: Dressage, Jumping, Eventing, Para-Equestrian, Show Horse, Vaulting, Interschools and Breed Shows)
- Fun Run - Foam Fest
- School Cross Country Carnivals from regional level up to state
- SES National Disaster Rescue Challenge
- Sydney Koi Show
- Defence Force training activities
- Commercial filming
And beyond this 72 Tow-Ed Driver Education Courses!

Thank you to all our fantastic returning and new events for a great year!

We love having you all here and are ready for a great 2025!!!

Wishing Virgil a very happy, and restful, retirement!

Well done on the amazing career, with very impressive records including: more international wins than any other Aussie horse, being the oldest horse to win a five-star event at age 18, and a Tokyo Olympic team silver!

Virgil has been a favorite here at SIEC and we loved getting to watch him compete here!

Enjoy your retirement Virgil!

Christmas Closure:

The Sydney International Equestrian Centre will be closed from 5pm today, Friday 20 December, and will re-open at 9am on Monday 6 January 2025.

From all of us here at SIEC we wish you all a happy holiday period and we will see you in the New Year!

A massive congratulations to Riding for the Disabled Association - NSW!!

Who have won the NSW Champions of Sport - Event of the Year for 2024.

Well done to the dedicated team of volunteers that make this event possible every year!

And to all the fantastic participants that continue to inspire the event!

The RDA(NSW) Dressage, Mounted Games and Gymkhana Gala Event is held here annually and will be back 28th - 31st August 2025.

JNSW 2024 Summer Showjumping Classic CSI-W has kicked off here today and will continue until Sunday 8th December.

Four days of Showjumping with the CSI-W* World Cup Qualifier being held on Saturday.
Spectators are welcome and entry is free, if you are not able to come to the last equestrian event of the year, you can livestream via Clipmyhorse.TV and Equestrian Life

John and Gayle Falconer made Sugarloaf Dressage Club Inc their final arena dressage set! Having worked with so many of the events held at SIEC over the last 20+ years, they have significantly contributed to the equestrian community, working with Hawkesbury Dressage Club Inc. . Dressage NSW Inc CDI - International Dressage Event - Sydney 3DE Camden Equitation Inc. Dressage & Working Equitation & Equestrian NSW. Wishing them a happy and healthy retirement!

Today is International Day of People with Disability – a United Nations observed day held on 3 December each year. Here at the Office of Sport, we are proud to celebrate and champion sport for people with disability all year round. This year, our Sport and Recreation Centres around the state have incorporated adaptive sports into their regular programming – from Wheelchair Basketball to Goalball, Blind AFL and more, our staff have loved learning to play these fun sports and introducing them to all the different groups who attend camps and programs at the Centres.

Not long to go now until 2024 Summer Showjumping Classic CSI-W*!

We are excited to watch some fantastic Showjumping for our final equestrian event of 2024!

Eight days to go till the 2024 Summer Showjumping Classic CSI-W*!

The first day of the Summer Classic is the Young Horse Gala Day and once again Alice Cameron from Oaks Sport Horses is sponsoring and supporting this wonderful exhibition of horses born and bred in Australia as well as horses that are carefully selected and imported to our shores. The Young Horse classes are also judged on their style. The winners of the style section will be paraded on Saturday of the show before the World Cup and the winner will take home a service of their choice to either Oaks Quizzical or Casting.

The Young Horse classes will be followed by the Group 1 Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association Thoroughbred class sponsored by Peachester Lodge. All classes in the Equestrian NSW arena on Thursday will be livestreamed by Clipmyhorse.TV and Equestrian Life.
If you are able to attend the show you will also be able to watch the action in the Magic Millions arena. Starting the day with the Magic Millions 1.30m class followed by the Jumping NSW Welcome Stakes for 1.40m horses and finishing the day with the ENSW 1.20m class.
