***This is Chewy and he is in desperate need of help. ***
Chewys world turned upside down recently when his dad passed away.

On Saturday the 21st of September Chewy was on his way to his new home in QLD with his dads brother David and his wife.
Sadly Chewy was so stressed by the changes in his life he had escaped his crate in the car and when David pulled into a rest area to help Chewy he escaped into the bushland.
David and his wife spent hours calling and looking for him without any luck.
David and his wife have had to return to their home in QLD without his brothers cat Chewy, just devastating for David and Chewy.

How can you help?

~Chewy will no doubt need to be trapped.
If you are a rescue in the area that Chewy was lost and have volunteers that would be able to help find him please reach out.
~If you are going past the rest area noted below and have a spare 5 minutes please stop in and look out for Chewy. DO NOT TRY TO CATCH HIM.
Chewy will be terrified and will only run. If you see him please reach out and let us know. If possible get a photo of him of exactly where you saw him.

Chewy was lost in bushland at the Twelve Miles Hill Rest Area on the Pacific Highway near Wallaroo National Park.

Today I said goodbye to one of our Sanctuary cats Kiya.
Kiya came to us from the pound 12 years ago and spent a bit of time in care with me before finally being adopted.

A few years ago she was surrendered back to me after her mum fell on hard times and could no longer care for her.
Kiya became the matriarch in our home in no time, no one messed with Kiya and she was sure to let everyone know of her dislike of them with a frown and glare that was usually enough to keep others away but if they dared to get to close be it human, dog or cat then you'd cop one quick hard slap which always got the message through.
If she approved then you could pat her, or she'd allow others to share the bed, she loved a good brushing but when she had enough you'd cop one of those quick slaps to let you know she was done.
Kiya had attitude and just as much personality, she was an observer, a thinker, she was no fool.

January 23 our vet discovered cancer in her mouth and so the supportive treatment begun, she fought long and hard but this past week or so I started to notice small changes that told me things were changing.
A trip to our vet this morning bought my fears to life. Her cancer had spread into her upper jaw and it was time to say or goodbyes.

Kiya will be missed by all who knew her.
Yet another special lady has been given her wings and heading over the Rainbow Bridge.

RIP Kiya
We will meet again ❤

Sharing my 2 latest rescues. These 2 girls found themselves dumped in a box at our vets a few weeks back. They came with ring worm and no one could take them so they're stuck with me looking after them. 😆 They are both so gorgeous with the loudest of purrs that start up as soon as they see you Both will be ready for rehoming in a few weeks.
