📍 Location: Hills Grooming & Georgie’s Play Park – 7, 1-3 Celebration Drive, Bella Vista
🕒 Position Type: Full Time – Monday to Friday
About the Role:
In this varied role, you will be caring for dogs in our busy doggy day care, helping groomers with bathing and blow-drying, and assisting with front desk/reception duties. It’s perfect for someone who loves animals, is customer-focused, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
🐶 Animal Care & Daycare:
• Supervising and interacting with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Ensuring a clean, fun, and safe environment
• Monitoring dog behaviour and well-being
🛁 Grooming Assistance:
• Bathing and blow-drying dogs
• Preparing dogs for grooming appointments
• Cleaning and maintaining grooming areas and tools
📞 Reception Duties:
• Greeting clients and their pets
• Answering phone calls, booking appointments, and taking payments
• Maintaining client records and providing excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For:
✅ A qualification (or current study) in Animal Studies or a related field
✅ Previous experience working with animals (professional or volunteer)
✅ Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
✅ Good communication and organisational skills
✅ Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a team
Bonus Skills (Not Essential, But a Plus!):
⭐ Experience in grooming, animal care, or doggy daycare
⭐ Reception or customer service background
⭐ Animal first aid knowledge
⭐ Weekend availability

In Loving Memory of Milo 🐾💔
It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beloved Milo, who passed away on Sunday night. For 15 wonderful years, Milo was more than just a companion to our salon manager, Bel, he was her everything.
Milo was a gentle soul who brought warmth and comfort to everyone he met. He especially loved his days at the salon, napping peacefully in the sunshine by the front window, often surrounded by the older doggies who adored his calm presence.
Over the years, Milo became a cherished part of our salon family, a quiet, constant presence who brought joy, peace, and love to our space.
Bel, our hearts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. Milo’s paw prints will forever remain on all of our hearts.
Rest peacefully, sweet Milo. 🌈💛

Meet our Salon owner - Melissa

Melissa founded Hills Grooming in 2012 and has grown it from a small one-person salon into one of Sydney’s busiest and most trusted pet grooming destinations. Backed by many years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse, she brings a strong foundation in animal welfare and care to everything she does. Melissa worked in local veterinary hospitals straight out of school, and her hands-on knowledge is a cornerstone of the salon’s reputation for compassionate, professional service.

In 2023, Melissa expanded the business, moving Hills Grooming from Baulkham Hills to a larger space in Bella Vista. This exciting new chapter included the launch of Georgie’s Play Park, a doggy day care named after her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Georgie. The space now combines high-quality grooming with a safe, fun, and enriching environment for dogs to play and socialise.

When she’s not leading the team or overseeing the salon, Melissa is busy managing home life with her children and her own furry family. Her passion for animals, strong leadership, and unwavering commitment to quality care continue to shape the heart and soul of Hills Grooming.
