Could Whiskers be the cat you’ve been looking for?

Meet Whiskers the confident adult cat that has been in our care for roughly three months.

Whiskers has had some health issues we have been dealing with here but is now ready to adventure to his furever home!
Whiskers is a curious furry companion and is seeking a family to go on these journeys with. He is always looking for attention from the nurses and veterinary staff and would make a great cuddle buddy for someone who isn’t after a kitten.
As we don’t have a proper history for Whiskers, we estimate his age to be around 7-8 years old, however he could be a bit younger or older.
Whiskers may have some ongoing health issues that may or may not present themselves in the future. This is something to keep in mind if you are interested in adding Whiskers to your family.

⚠️Tick Season⚠️

Ticks are rampant now with tick season coming in at full force. Which means it is extra important that your dog and cat are on tick prevention.

Prevention is ALWAYS better than cure.

Please see below the different types of tick prevention you should have your pet on.

If you are interested in a yearly injection that covers ticks and fleas, then speak to your vet about Bravecto QUANTUM. Otherwise, a monthly or trimonthly pipette or chew is the best way to go about keeping your pet safe from ticks and possible paralysis or death.

Summer is starting to arrive - which means HOT weather for us and our fur babies.
The best steps to avoid heatstroke incidences for your furry friends is:
Keep walks to a minimum - take them out in the morning or late afternoon.
Keep cold fresh water at their disposal
Keep them in the cool of your house/apartment

TICKS CAN KILL

Gladesville Vet has seen numerous tick cases over the past few weeks. Tick cases can present as symptomatic, can have the tick attached still, or can have the tick burrow found on the skin. No matter how tick cases present they require URGENT veterinary attention.

Keeping your pet (cat or dog) on Tick prevention such as Nexgard Spectra, Simparica Trio, or Bravecto - as well as the new injection Bravecto Quantum can severely decrease the chances of fatality or severe injury for your pet if they do get a tick.
