Please be advised that the NSW National Parks and Wildlife service (NWPS) will be conducting an aerial baiting program in the Royal National Park, using fresh dried baits containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. This notification is for the 5th to 8th of June 2024.

The most significant risk for pets is to the non-target baiting of domestic animals, in particular dogs and cats who may dig the bait up. The risk comes from allowing your pets to free roam or walk off lead/ unsupervised during this period while baiting is being conducted.

In the event of accidental poisoning please seek immediate veterinary assistance.
