The Mat is compact (3mm), flexible, durable, waterproof and most importantly, operates on a low voltage 12 volt system.
No thermostat control is necessary as the design of the Pet-Mat™ is made to self- regulate and attain a maximum of 40°C (104°F) whether it is covered or not. The temperature is cleverly set to mimic the human temperature at 37oc, for when you aren’t around to cuddle your pets and keep them warm. For example, your cat sitting on your lap because of your body heat. We recommend using a cover (such as a pillow case or thin blanket) to ensure maximum comfort.
Pet-Mats™ have also been designed to meet stringent electrical UL, CE and ASTM standards AS 335.2.81 which is a standard written for Personal Human Heating Mats.
