Service Reminder ⬇️
A lot of people aren’t aware but we do have a background in public access training with guide dog / assistance dog skills.
I have qualifications with International Guide Dog Federation along with many others but this is by far one of my proudest achievements.
I don’t post to much on this as I do generally limit my “in training” assistance dog client base to ensure I can see them through start to finish and prioritise the needs for the client and dog.
We have worked with many organisations and assisted some clients who have done self train.
I am a trainer / assessor for PAT Dogs Australia for my clients who choose to go via them if they are interested in going via a organisation. Otherwise I have worked with clients no matter what organisation and stick to each individual guide lines for their chosen organisation if any and or self trained.
As a trainer I have put out over 50 dogs in my career with public access across multiple roles and task requirements.
We do see lots of people wanting / asking about how to start, but understanding your reason for wanting to utilise your dog and also the time, training and commitment it takes it’s very time and resource heavy. And a big thing people forget is GENETICS MATTER.
This is not a job for just any dog. Most handlers do extensive research prior to getting a dog or starting this journey.
We are open to answering questions to help any one in this space and we have many connections in the dog world and other trainers and resources to assist.
The best thing with this industry is if clients need something I can’t offer there are an amazing group of people to refer back to , to find the right person for the job.
If we can’t help, we can refer so no matter what we want to help people and their dogs.
Enjoy some photos of a few of my previous clients dogs whom are all out doing wonders now 💕
