🔥BEWARE OF HEAT STROKE IN DOGS🔥

☀️Although we are all enjoying this lovely weather, we are urging all dog owners to take extreme care while it’s warm. Heat stroke is a serious illness and can often be fatal.
The best ways to keep you dog cool are:

😎 Never exercise your dog between 8am-8pm on a warm day. Don’t overdo exercise during warm spells, regardless of the time of day.
😎 Always ensure your dog has access to water and a cool, shaded area.
😎 Never leave your dog in a car or hot stuffy room, even for short periods of time.
😎 Bring them inside!!!

❗️75% of the heat stroke cases that we see are a result of owners exercising their dog during the day. If you have any doubt on whether it is too warm to walk your dog, don’t do it!

❗️Brachycephalic dogs (bulldogs, Shih Tsus, Lhasa Apsos, Boxers, Pugs, Chow Chows etc) are at much higher risk of heat stroke, so take extra precautions. Large breed and long/thick haired dogs are also at higher risk of heat stroke.

Symptoms of heat stroke include:
🌡️ Rapid breathing / panting
🌡️ Racing heart
🌡️ Unsteady on feet / collapse
🌡️ Gums turning blue/purple or bright red
🌡️ Seizures

❗️If you are worried your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, spray with tepid (NOT FREEZING) water and call your nearest vet immediately.

HI my name is Mel and welcome to K9 Solutions Training. With over 15 years experience in canine behaviour and training, I provide a service valued by all dogs and owners.

Based in Liverpool NSW. I offer in-house training or training in the privacy of your own home and puppy group classes every weekend.

All training is one on one.

Whatever your situation and whatever your problems are, I can help provide you and your dog with the foundation of a long and lasting loving relationship.

Training is always designed to provide your dog with the atmosphere and environment that will help them learn and return with a great outlook on life and you as his owner.

I use a wide variety of training approaches and equipment to help your dog learn and provide the communication for control.

My programs includes the following

Sit, stay, watch ( look at me ), down ( drop ), leave it-command, come ( recall ), door manners, feeding manners, the do's and don't,'s of puppy/dog raising, socialisation and desensitisation, lead work ( lead walking ) and proper nutrition.

Once completed you will get free training support for the life of the dog.
