Monte getting some much needed cuddles after his TECA surgery 🥰

This little man was suffering from a chronic ear infection due to his narrow ear canal so we had the specialist in to perform a Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) which removes the entire ear canal. Although it sounds scary this brave man will feel like a new dog once he is fully recovered ❤️🐾

✨ We have made a few exciting changes to our website recently ✨

Customers can now order many of our products through our online site! These items can be shipped directly to your address, with customers also having the option to set up a reoccurring delivery so your furbaby will never run out of food! Check it out under the ‘shop’ option on our website.

Another exciting addition is our ‘book online’ function. Customers can now book directly through our website.

Elanora vet will remain open and here to look after your furry friends. But given the current situation we have a few additional measures in place to keep our staff, clients and community safe.

❌ CONTACT FREE CONSULTS - no clients in the clinic, we ask that you please bring your pet to the door and we will take them in to see the vet.

🚨ALERT LEPTOSPIROSIS 🚨

Sadly a young dog from the Narrabeen/Elanora area has passed away after contracting the serious infections disease.

Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease often spread through rodent urine which can also be contaminate ground water. This disease can also be spread to humans. Be cautious of your dogs drinking from puddles, swimming in creeks (especially after rain) and sniffing off lead anywhere rodents may reside.

This is the first case of leptospirosis on the Northern Beaches. So vaccinations for this disease have not been part of standard vaccine procedures meaning many dogs have not been routinely vaccinated against leptospirosis.

Symptoms of leptospirosis include: vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, jaundice (yellow gums) and shivering. Infected dogs may also develop acute kidney and liver failure.

Elanora Vet is recommending pet owners have their dogs vaccinated against leptospirosis! Patients are required to have 2 vaccinations, 2-4 weeks apart.

We stock the vaccine but appointments are required!
