Dogs and cats deserve the best we can provide — so we endeavour to see things from a pet’s perspective. For sick pets we work hard to establish a diagnosis and then recommend the best, most economical treatment. For pets small and large, young and old the foundation of good health depends on a good natural diet. Over twenty years ago I was one of the pioneers of a Raw Meaty Bones diet for dogs and

cats. There’s lots of media interviews at www.rawmeatybones.com — including ABC Investigators, Ray Martin at Midday, A Current Affair and Today Tonight — where you can see dogs and cats thriving after diet change. Stinky ‘dog breath’ and chronic disease become a thing of the past for pets fed a natural diet. Here at Bligh Park Pet Health Centre you can find plenty of scrumptious chicken, beef and pork raw meaty bones. We’ve got succulent beef liver and delicious ox heart too. If you want to put a smile on the face of your pet, do call in and pick up a few tasty morsels. We’re confident that you and your pets will be delighted. The comfort and convenience of humans matters too. The spacious veterinary hospital has been completely refurbished for the benefit of pets and their owners. There’s easy access off Rifle Range Road and plenty of parking. Consultations for vaccinations, annual check-ups, routine surgery and second opinions are available by appointment and also by just dropping in Monday to Friday 9-11a.m and 5-7 p.m. Shop sales of flea and worm products and raw meaty bones available all day every day Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m to 7.00 pm. Saturday 9.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m. For emergencies anytime, please phone 4577 7061. Occasionally an answer machine will direct you to the duty vet. We live on site and provide 24 hour care. Looking forward to meeting you. Wishing you the best of good health,

Tom Lonsdale and the team. http://www.localvet.com.au/blighparkpethealthcentre/

🌞🐾 Summer hot weather hazards - Sunburn 🐾🌞

Light-colored pets are especiallty at risk for sunburn. Areas of thin fur is most prone to it, this include the bridge of the nose, ears, and belly. If your pet loves to sunbathe, chronic sun exposure can lead to skin damage and increase the risk of skin cancer.

Prevention is Key:

> Limit sun exposure during peak hours.
> Use pet-safe sunscreen on vulnerable areas.
> Provide plenty of shade for outdoor relaxation.
Let’s protect our furry friends from harmful sun exposure! ❤️🐶🐱

Puppies typically come in for their second vaccination around 10 weeks old, and from our experience, they’re already equipped with the instincts, strength, and those sharp little teeth to tackle carcasses!

Great raw meaty bones to start with include:

Quail for mini breeds

🐾 Kitten Instincts on Display! 🐾

Check out this little one giving a spatchcock a good go—it's too big for him, but he’s certainly trying! 😸

For those who’ve tried introducing raw meaty bones (RMB) to your cats, you know how tricky it can be! Cats can be stubborn and often addicted to commercial pet food. The best time to introduce RMB is when they’re YOUNG! Most kittens under 6 months are instinctively eager to chew on bones, so starting them young is the way to go! 🦴❤️

This little one have gone home with some quail carcasses, which is softer and an easier start for him.
Let’s help our feline friends embrace their natural instincts!

😺 Ringworm Awareness: Kitten Season 😺

This video highlights a kitten presenting with a ringworm infestation. Ringworm is a fungal infection characterized by patchy hair loss, typically found on the face, ears, and abdomen, but it can appear anywhere on the body.

This condition is common and treatable, but it is also contagious to other pets and humans.

With kitten season upon us, if you bring a new kitten home, please take precautionary measures: isolate the kitten, monitor for symptoms, and schedule a veterinary health check as soon as possible.

Let’s ensure the health and safety of our pets! 🏥
