Thanks to the Potty Plant REAL grass dog toilet, I’m not cleaning up piddle patches and poo-landmines 💩around my home.
No more running up and down the stairs for him to go to the toilet.

My pup does ALL his p*es and poos on the Potty Plant real grass and best of all- it doesn’t smell!

I signed on to a fresh grass subscription and we get fresh grass delivered to us. We chose weekly.

Changing the grass is a breeze and there’s no maintainence. Just pick up the poo like you do at the park.

Toilet training one O one. 3 basic steps to toilet training a pup. ⁣

1. Boundaries! The translation for "my puppy is just not getting toilet training" is "my puppy pretty much walks wherever he pleases at home and I'm hoping he uses his common sense to use his toilet" ⁣

Whether you have the Potty Plant at home or not, you still need to restrict your pup to a small area of your home and actively take him to the toilet regularly, using a lead. ⁣
⁣
2. Use the lead. It's not just for walking outside. ⁣
⁣
3. Positive reinforcement when your puppy goes in the correct spot keeps him going back for more.

Hey newbies! I’m Julia and these two fluffs are Barney and Chibby. Chibby is the one squatting mid-p*e on the Potty Plant 😂⁣

If you’re new around here, here’s a quick catch up on the story ⬇️⁣

I got the idea for Potty Plant when Barney (now 7) was a pup and we lived in an apartment with no easy outdoor access. ⁣
Fake grass and puppy pads weren’t cutting it because they stank (literally) and Barney started to hold on to his p*es on walks until we got home so he could get a treat for p*eing on the pads. I felt that teaching him to ‘go’ on synthetic surfaces was only going to prolong toilet training because what else feels like puppy pads? 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘵.⁣
⁣
I was working as an interpreter prior to launching Potty Plant in 2015, and juggled interpreting stints with growing grass in my backyard to personally delivering Potty Plants to my early customers in my little Honda Jazz. ⁣
⁣
I went on Shark Tank Aus and managed to score a deal with Vet-Shark Glen Richards on the show. It’s a long story but he didn’t end up investing so I had to do the hard slog but I got to keep total control of my business for which today I am grateful.⁣
⁣
After witnessing how easy the Potty Plant makes life for puppy and dog owners living in apartments, my goal for the longest time has been to help more and more Australians adjust to apartment life with their dogs. I really get a kick out of hearing how you now can’t live without the Potty Plant. I am so thankful for the support we receive and I couldn’t do it today without my 20 member strong team.⁣

Where do you keep your Potty Plant? 🌱⁣

Ideally outdoors on the balcony or courtyard so the grass gets a chance to breathe and dry out from all the moisture your dog's p*e add. Keeping your Potty Plant out of the rain will keep the grass fresh and prevent it from getting waterlogged 💦⁣

If you don't have an outdoor spot, placing it indoors is totally fine as long as you are on a weekly grass change 🔄

How does your puppy’s diet affect toilet training?⁣
⁣
Feeding your puppy a high quality kibble or balanced fresh diet is essential to nourish your puppy with the necessary nutrient building blocks to grow and not surprisingly affects your pup’s toilet training routine.⁣
⁣
A low quality diet means more poos because your puppy will need to eat more to get more nutrients. More poos mean more chances your puppy may poo in the wrong spot and we all know toilet training is just making sure our puppy p*es and poos in the correct spot everytime right?⁣
A puppy on a diet high in nutrients will absorb most of the nutrients meaning there will be less poo to pass, making it easier on your puppy to hold in. This will help teach your puppy bowel control. ⁣
⁣
Feeding your puppy on a schedule also plays a big role in anticipating when he needs to be on the toilet next because what goes in, must come out!
