We have been adopted 🎊

We are still looking for forever homes for Jake & Charlie 🥰

‼️Please note‼️ we do not do interstate adoptions and these boys will not be rehomed together.

Our boys are 10 week old German Shepherds. Whilst they didn't have the best start to life, they're coming along nicely and gaining confidence around humans.

Whilst in care we are doing ongoing training and getting them back into good shape (they are very overweight for their age) they will be ready to go to their new homes in the next few weeks.

These little cuties are very smart and strong willed and will need BREED EXPERIENCED owners to continue ongoing training.

There will always be that one dog that will hurt you more than any other. The dog that will make you cry even when they've been gone for more years than they were alive.

The sad thing is, in reality they should never have been born. Had someone just desexed their dogs, none of this would have happened.

My boy, I will never know the whole story. I will never know why you were kept with your 8 siblings until you were 9 weeks old before you were dumped, but I do know for the 2 years you were alive every day was a blessing. You brought so much joy to so many lives.

5 years ago today we paid the price of someone else's reckless behaviour.

I cannot stress this enough

Last November I came across the worst hoard of German Shepherds I have ever seen. 10 + sickly, shut down, severly underweight dogs ranging from 5 months - 4 years ended up at the pound. These dogs had not been handled and were terrified.

Whilst this rescue is fairly new, I have been rescuing dogs for years and I knew the moment I laid my eyes on these poor souls I had to help.

Kai came in to my care at 5 months old weighing in at a ridiculous 5.1kg. For a pup that age and breed she should have been 15-20kg MINIMUM.

I put her in my car and we sat quietly for a bit before I turned round, looked at her and said "You are safe, you are loved and you will never go without food again"

The drive out of the pound was the start of Kai's road to recovery. You see as shut down as she was, she wanted to trust, she wanted to try and that she did.

Kai spent months on a strict diet, dogs so severly underweight cannot be fed too much too quick. Slow and steady Kai's intake was upped and monitored every step of the way and she finally started to gain weight 🎉 step by step I fixed her gut issues, a slow journey but an easy fix IF you know what you are doing.

Nutrition is my passion, I have spent years helping hundreds of dogs get onto the right foods, helping them naturally. From skin issues to gut problems to severe allergies, you name it I have helped fix it. No need for prescribed foods or medications and definitely no chicken and rice 🤢🚫

All dogs in care are fed raw, catered to their needs, no expense spared for these precious souls 💜 They are treated like my own dogs and only given the best.

As the months went on, Kai became more confident, she started to see that not all humans are bad after all. Eventually she was ready to find her forever home, to find the right home for this special little girl wasn't straight forward but eventually the right people came forward 🐾

Kai was adopted back in February, we had an update from her family this weekend and we are beyond thrilled to hear how well she is doing 🥹 no longer shut down, she has become quite the lap dog with her new hoomans 🐾

We always have, and always will give the dogs in our care however long they need before they can find their forever homes 💜

Last week these 3 beautiful girls were found dumped in a washing basket with a make shift cardboard lid wired shut.

They are in our care and are slowly putting on weight and doing very well with toilet and crate training 🐾

These little ones are approximately 7 week old Staffy x puppies. All 3 are clever little cookies and are keeping us on our toes!

Hi my name is Kai, I am a young little lady and I'm searching for my forever home. I am a 7 month old German Shepherd. I had a rough start to life and was malnourished. I won't grow very big at all, I am not even as big as a kelpie at the moment so I won't take up much room in my new home.

I love dogs! I have been around so many different sizes, ages and breeds I just love them all 🥰 I would love to have a brother so I have someone to play with.

Meet Kai💓

3 weeks ago, little Kai was surrendered to the pound with her littermates, grossly underweight and shut down🥺.

After scooping up Kai from the pound and bringing her home it was evident she needed a helping hand to help speed up her recovery🤍. In a very short time Kai has learnt to interact and play with other dogs, big and small, come when called and sit for her dinner👏🏻. Kai is also already toilet and crate trained.

Kai is super smart and looks to you for leadership and in just a few weeks she has become quite the cheeky little puppy 🐶.

Whilst Kai is on the road to recovery, she will need a home with another dog so she has someone to play with and continue to learn from🥰. Kai will need an experienced German Shepherd owner and a home with no small children.

Kai will be available for adoption in a few weeks 🥰.

When there are so many mixes available it blows my mind as to why some people are not mixing their dogs food up 🤯

I do NOT benefit in any way by advising to mix up your dogs food but your dog DOES!

Unless you have a dog with allergies you should NOT be ordering the exact same food each time!

Fat Boy Raw & Fat Boy Treats are businesses set up to help and donate to the rescue world and over the years I have donated tonnes of food, treats and money.
I have loved and I have lost, adopted and fostered dogs from 3 weeks- 14 yrs old

There are so many people out there maybe including some of you that are reading this who are producing litters by parents who are:
1. Not of good temperament
2. Not genetically tested
3. Not hip/elbow scored
4. Riddled with allergies

If you think its enough to just become a registered breeder think again. Anyone can go and sit the test for that.

My boys memory will live on BUT Saint (Fat Boy) was taken from me at TWO years old, we have both paid the price of someones poor decisions. Back yard breeding needs to stop.

If I find out a customer of mine is backyard breeding I will not play any part in what you are doing and I WILL NOT continue to serve you. We all know by now I'm NOT in this business for the $$ but to educate and help people feed their dogs properly.

Two years ago I couldn't bring another dog into the house because of Ralph. Not gonna lie its been hell at points and he's had so many issues. If a dog approached Ralph whilst he was laying down he would attack.....now look at him, he now lives with 5 other dogs peacefully. It's not been easy, far from it, the stress, tears and headaches have finally paid off.
