We are incredibly fortunate to have the assistance of James from Canine Revolution, helping our lovely boy Pace brush up on his training and behaviour.
James has put together a short clip, showcasing some great tips about playing a game of fetch with a dog who may not like to let go of the ball 🫢
Watch how Pace goes! 😁

If you’re in need of a trainer for your dog in QLD/NSW, we highly recommend .

Our boy Pace is still looking for a home. He will be heading back to Sydney at the end of November and we desperately want to avoid having to send him to the kennels.
Can you give Pace the home of his dreams?

Rescue Hub relies completely on donations.
Without the support of others, we would not be able to continue to save the lives of animals in need.
One of our amazing volunteers, Alex Baker, has decided to Run for Rescue on the 29th of November - taking on the challenge of Ultra Trail Kosciscko, a 100km run (yes, you read that right!) all to raise funds for Rescue Hub.
To say we are incredibly grateful is an understatement.
This will be a challenging, yet outstanding achievement by Alex.
He has created a Go Fund Me account in the hope that he can raise $5,000 to donate to Rescue Hub.
“This journey isn’t just about the miles; it’s about raising vital funds to provide food, shelter, and medical care for abandoned and neglected animals. Every contribution will directly impact their lives, giving them the chance for a better future”.
If you are in a position to show your support, we would really appreciate any $ amount you can spare to donate to Alex’s fundraiser.
“Together, we can make a difference and give these deserving animals the second chance they need”.

Who’s always ready to be the star of the show?
…Tux of course!
This incredibly amazing boy has been waiting almost 12 months for his forever home ☹️
Please help share his post across NSW so we can find Tux the home of his dreams 🏡 🤞

🐾 Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
🎂 Age: 4 years old
👦 Gender: Male
🏥 Health: Desexed, vaccinated and worm & flea treated
👧🏻 Kids: 12yrs + who are dog savvy
🐕 Dogs: Fear reactive and still working on socialisation skills - will need to be the only dog in the home until he has had more exposure and training
📍 Location: Rescue Hub in Leppington, NSW

With his handsome black and white coat and cute floppy ears, your heart will melt when you meet this sweet boy.
Tux is always ready to be a part of the action - and if there is none, he will create his own 🤣
He loves having space to run around and burn off his energy, as well as playing a nice game of fetch with his human companions or enjoying a self given back scratch rolling around in the grass. His spirited personality would match a household that lives an active lifestyle, so Tux can get the physical and mental stimulation he has been craving.
He can be a bit bouncy when he sees his humans, but this energy is pure excitement and quickly calms down once he has said his hello’s and had some attention.
Tux is typical to his staffy breed - he adores time with people! This affectionate boy soaks up all the scratches and belly rubs on offer, and will really appreciate being allowed indoors with his new guardians.
Tux is still working on his socialisation skills around other dogs. Currently he becomes very overwhelmed by the presence of other dogs and he can begin to cry, bark and pull on the lead. This is due to fear and not being able to control his big emotions. His new human companions will need to be dedicated in continuing training in this area, and provide Tux with the guidance, patience and understanding he needs. (Rescue Hub will cover the cost of his training).
Shelter dogs need time to decompress when they enter their new home, and for Tux, this will be an important step for him to succeed.
After being left unwanted and on the euthanise list, this precious boy is looking for a home that can provide him with the sense of stability, security and love he so desperately deserves.
Can you help Tux put his shelter days behind him??

Introducing Bluey! …no, not from the favourite TV cartoon, although our Bluey is just as loveable 😁🩵

🐾 Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
🎂 Age: 2 years old
🏥 Health: Desexed, vaccinated and worm and flea treated
👧🏻 🐕 Kids and Animal companions: Still working on his socialisation skills with other dogs so it would be preferable for him to be the only dog in the home while he continues training. Children and cats are unknown
📍 Location: Fairfield West, NSW

This handsome boy steals all the attention with his stunning blue coat and his cute pointy ears.
Bluey is your typical cattle dog - smart, playful and loves to be a part of the action.
He enjoys being outdoors, especially playing with his ball. He will run his little legs for hours playing fetch if given the chance, or be the perfect companion for a long nature walk exploring his surroundings with you.
Bluey is a clever little man and likes to keep his mind busy - activities such as puzzle toys, interactive games and obedience challenges would be the perfect way to keep him engaged. He will thrive in a home that lives an active lifestyle and includes him in all of life’s activities.
This sweet boy really enjoys pats and attention - his tail will wag with excitement when receiving a good scratch! He creates strong bonds with his favourite people through quality time and genuine connection. He will be extremely loyal to his human companions and would do best having his people around more often than not.
Although Bluey has mostly been an outside dog, he would love the opportunity to be inside with his humans - getting to enjoy all the comforts a home can bring. As he is not familiar with being inside regularly, his new parents will need to be patient while he adjusts to his environment, including some guidance on toilet training.
This incredibly sweet boy is searching for, companionship, stability and a life long best friend in a loving home - can you be the one to offer Bluey his new home??

🙏🙏IT'S ME PACE- CAN YOU HELP ME FIND MY FOREVER HOME SO THAT I CAN CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS UNDER MY OWN CHRISTMAS TREE🙏🙏
I am back at Canine Revolution- Dog Rehabilitation & Training with my best friend James, as I needed to brush up on some of the training methods put into place.
James has sent this message:
"Pace is a beautiful dog, who thrives on clear structure. Inside the house he is respectful, the secret is to keep him on the lead for the first few days of him settling into his new home.
As a small amount of structure first, then forever freedom."
About me:
My life started to change after I spent 263 days at the local shelter! Things started to look up when Rescue Hub came along and gave me a chance of a new life, and my foster carers John and Mark gave me that chance of a loving home.
I have lived a wonderful life with my carers, I was able to sleep inside and had lots of love and affection.
Sadly my foster Dad has become very ill and can no longer care for me, so I now desperately need a new home.
I am learning lots at the training Centre, and James will give my new parents training support once my time finishes up here.
We will also provide a training video created by James, giving everything that is needed to know for when Pace first arrives at your home.
But I only have three weeks to find my new home, I really want to have a family to celebrate my Christmas with.
I promise to give you lots of cuddles and will be your loyal and loving boy forever!

Are you ready to start your own Lion King story..with a trusty genius friend!?
Introudcing, Simba and Albert 🐈 🐈‍⬛

🐾 Breed: Short Haired Domestic
🎂 Age: 6 years old (approx)
📍 Location: Leppington

These two handsome boys came to us individually, both from difficult backgrounds, and have since become inseparable – making them a bonded pair!

Albert was absolutely terrified of everything when he first arrived. He was unable to settle and would freeze whenever anyone was in his presence. After some time, patience and love, Albert has begun to trust the Rescue Hub volunteers and allowed his truly beautiful personality to shine. He is a very clever boy who enjoys having some toys to play with, especially his mouse tumbler which dispenses those tasty treats when he swipes it from left to right. Although Albert is still a little timid and cautious around new people, he is working on his bravery each day and exploring new situations within the house.
Simba is a very affectionate feline! He can also be a little shy around new people, but once he feels safe he will be demanding those scratches and pats from his humans in no time (like the true king he is 👑 ). Simba enjoys finding the cosiest spot in the house and lounging around – soaking up the sunshine from the window or snuggling in on the sofa. He would love a human or two to follow and observe during the day, but most of all, someone who will spoil him with food.
Both boys will need a quiet home environment, one where there are no other animals in the house and a child free space – to keep them stress free and at their happiest while they continue to work on their confidence.
If you think you can give these deserving cats the home of their dreams, please submit an adoption or foster application by clicking the links below:

05/11/2024

Max is on the search for a long term foster home.
He is currently in short term foster with amazing (truely amazing!) carers who have been showering Max with love, exercise, stimulation, patience and training.
This arrangement is possible until mid December, however after this time, Max will need to find a longer term household to call home.
Unfortunately the long term foster carers we had organised has fallen through, and we are now urgently seeking assistance for this beautiful boy.

🐾 Breed: Cane Corso x Mastiff
🎂 Age: 2 years old
👦 Gender: Male
🏥 Health: Desexed, vaccinated and worm & flea treated
👧🏻 🐕 Kids and Animal companions: A home with no children and no other pets
📍 Location: Cranebrook, NSW

Max has had a rough start to life. At just 2 years old, he has had his fair share of misfortune and has experienced some pretty awful situations.
He was not given the opportunity or space to run or experience the outside world.
Despite all this, Max is an overall happy fellow who continues to put his trust in his humans.

This spirited boy has an abundance of energy. He loves running around the yard playing chase, or entertaining himself with his toys. His absolute favourite is his squeaky toy, which he will push around and pounce on over and over, or he will bring his rope to his humans for a good game of tug of war.
For a good session of mental stimulation, Max enjoys a Kong filled with treats, or simply a plastic bottle with some holes in it, where he can work for his rewards!
Being a typical bully breed, Max loves to chew and play rough with his toys, so he will need strong and sturdy ones that can withstand his high energy nature.
To help Max understand when it’s time to settle, his current foster carers have crate trained him - allowing him a designated space to associate with relaxation, safety and comfort.
Just like a cheeky toddler, Max can sometimes fight the need to have some down time (letting you know with his bark), however having his crate has been a great way to teach him it is okay to rest. He will often take himself to his crate now during the day to take a nap or he is allowed some outside time to settle himself.

Above everything else, Max adores his humans. He is a complete Velcro dog who will follow you around everywhere, and want to be involved in everything you do.
Cuddles for him means sitting in your lap 🤭 and he will accept all the love and attention that is on offer.
This gorgeous boy can become quite anxious with sudden movements and being around any yelling, so he will need a household that is calm and considerate to ensure he is kept as stress free as possible.

Max is looking for a home with human companions that can offer him patience, compassion, understanding and experience. He will thrive in an environment that can give him stability, security and routine - somewhere he can learn that his basic needs will be met, and he won’t go forgotten or unwanted.
He will also need continued training walking on lead, as he currently can become overstimulated from all the activity that the outside world has to offer, which leads him to pull. His foster carers are working with him using a halter to assist in correcting his leash manners.
Not having had much exposure to other animals and children, Max will need to be in a home that is child and pet free. He is fear reactive when he sees other dogs out on his walks (crying, barking, lunging) so he will need some professional training to help him improve on his socialisation skills.

For a dog that has been through so much in his short life, Max truely has the potential to be the most vibrant and ‘bestest’ boy - he just needs the right guardians to help him build on his confidence and experience life to the fullest.

If you, or anyone you know can help Max with a long term foster home (or even better, his forever home!) please click on the links below to fill out an application:

Fostering saves lives.

It’s a sentence you will read and hear from all rescue organisations, and for good reason…it couldn’t be more true.

We are on the search for more dedicated, experienced and caring foster carers to join our team - particularly those who are households without any other pets and live within an hours drive to Leppington (so that dogs can easily be brought to vet appointments when needed).

Choosing to be a foster carer for Rescue Hub involves providing our dogs with a loving, secure and educational environment where they can have the space to rest, recover, learn and thrive.
As much as all of our lovely volunteers try their absolute best to give the dogs at the shelter the love, attention and enrichment they need - nothing compares to the love, physical exercise and mental stimulation a home can share.
We have very limited space on site at our kennels, so without the enormous support of our wonderful foster carers, we sadly could not continue to save the lives of dogs.

We assist animals from all different backgrounds - some needing medical treatment, behavioural training or simply a chance to find the right home.

Dogs who have been in foster care have a higher likelihood of being adopted, as it prepares them for what to expect from their forever homes.
Can you help give a rescue animal the second chance they so desperately deserve?

If you are interested in becoming a foster carer, please click on the link below to fill out an application:

Our Story

Rescue Hub is a rescue group run solely by volunteers. We save the lives of dogs on death row, no matter their breed, age or condition. Ones that simply would not be alive today without our help. Some need extra training, others may need specialised vet work. Working with professionals such as behaviourists, vets and photographers, we save, rehab and rehome the dogs that have been abandoned and forgotton. Without our loyal supporters and donations (whether reoccurring or one off), we could not do our life-saving work. Rescue Hub is a registered charity with donations of $2 or more tax deductible.
