Rescue Hub, based in Western Sydney, Australia, is solely run by a group of like-minded, dedicated and compassionate volunteers who save the lives of dogs from the pound who are on death row, the dogs that no one else wants due to medical and health issues, or behavioural issues. Through various fund-raising e

vents we raise money to help critical dogs in need with vet work, medical needs and training/rehabilitation to help them find their forever homes. Our Fundraising funds also help the dogs that are currently in our care who are also waiting for their forever homes. Rescue Hub is a Non Profit Organisation and a Registered Charity with donations of $2 or more tax deductible. ‼️ DESPERATELY URGENT ‼️

PLEASE HELP LOVEABLE LOKI 🥲

This loveable, active/playful /boy is desperately in need of a loving new home (due to illness causing a change of circumstance with his current owner)

Loki enjoys beach walks/water play, playing fetch, he is sociable with other dogs of similar size and absolutely loves his humans. Unfortunately he is in danger of being surrendered to the pound if we are unable to find someone to care for him within the next few days which is heart breaking for him to say the least.
Loki was abandoned as a pup, with the help of Rescue Hub he was adopted into what was thought to be his forever home but sadly, he is facing being left alone once again 🥲

Loki needs a family where someone would be home most of the time, or another dog to keep him company. Cuddles are his thing, the more the merrier, he is good around children, loves to be inside with the family, and will let you know when it’s toilet time. Storms and fireworks don’t faze him.
He currently sleeps inside and is crate trained.

❌PIDGEY is CRITICAL in a NSW POUND❌

Unfortunately we do not have room at our kennels and Pidgey needs a home URGENTLY‼️

🚨The shelter is VERY concerned about his welfare in this environment and they are at capacity🚨

Pidgey’s welfare is declining in the kennel environment 🥹 He is just a puppy! It is not a place for him to have to grow up 😔 He is extremely anxious and stressed in the kennel and will try to stay with handlers when he is out of his kennel, not wanting to go back into the kennel. Different areas of the facility are being tested to help him feel more comfortable but he is just not coping‼️

Such an adorable little boy 💙 Pidgey is a very sweet little man but is extremely stressed 😫
He is affectionate and loves cuddles & pats 🤗 He has had off the lead play time with other dogs and is very friendly with other dogs but as a puppy, he can be a bit rude and overbearing, this can certainly be worked on with ongoing training 👍

A kennel is not a nice environment for a puppy, nor one that he should grow up in ☹️ Pidgey should have a nice warm bed, toys and a yard to play in. And most of all, a family to guide and support him through his puppy years 🫶

She is a one of a kind senior girl. At 8 years old we would love nothing more than for her to find her forever home where she can lap up all the luxuries a forever home offers 🤗 She deserves to have a home and a family of her own for her senior years 🏡

She is one of the most beautiful, loving and loyal dogs you will ever meet 🥰 She is very much loved by us all and we want to find her the perfect home.

- She is a very laid back lady
- She is happy to lounge around in the sun or the house and have a walk a day for exercise. She is also a master on agility equipment!
- Her favourite part of every day is spending time with her humans.
- She just loves affection and will give you endless hugs and kisses if you let her 😘
- She loves treats, and these are certainly the way to her heart 😋
- She interacts well with other dogs & could live with another dog, although a meet would be required with your dog.

The crisis with dogs needing homes just continues to get worse 😢 Sadly, we just can’t save as many dogs as we’d like to, if we do not have enough volunteers to care for them.

If you want to see more dogs saved but you aren’t in a position to adopt or foster, or donate as much as you would like to, join the Rescue Hub volunteer team! This goes a long way to assist us in our mission to rescue as many dogs as we can 👍

Do you have a couple of hours spare a week, or fortnight? Why not try volunteering with us! 🙂

We need regular, reliable and committed, volunteers Monday to Sunday to fill kennel roster shifts. The shifts are approximately 3 hours long & we ask that you make a weekly or fortnightly commitment to ensure consistency for the roster and our precious animals.

• Morning Shift is approximately 9 am start
• Afternoon Shift is approximately 3 pm start

If you love dogs (we also have two cats, and three goats 😊) as much as we do, and would love to volunteer, then please read the requirements below ⬇️

✅️ Must commit to one shift per week or fortnight, but this does not have to be the same day each week
✅️ Must love all animals
✅️ Be able to prepare food for animals
✅ Be physically able & confident to handle and walk medium to large dogs🐕
✅ Be willing to scoop up dog and cat p**p, and clean kennels 💩
✅ Be able to work in all weather conditions- heat, rain, wind and cold weather 🌞⛈❄
✅ Be able to work as part of a strong, committed and passionate team 👊
✅ Not be worried about getting dirty, getting fur on you or getting dog slobber on you 😀
✅ Be honest, caring, compassionate, and have our doggies as your #1 priority for applying

In return, the animals will give you all their love back tenfold 🥰 It is an extremely rewarding experience ❤️

💙🤗 Cutie Pie Cash UPDATE 🤗💙

I’m stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive, ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ allliiivvvve🤗 Yay!! Happy dance! 🕺 🎉

For those that don’t know, I’m Cash! 🐶 I was recently rescued from a pound and I was diagnosed with Parvovirus shortly after I arrived at Rescue Hub 🦠 Devastating news 🤒 I spent over a week and a half in two vets having investigations and receiving the best care and treatment possible ❤️‍🩹 I was discharged from the Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) yesterday 😊

I am so very paw-leased to be back! I’ve been really sick and I know it’s been a really ruff time for the volunteers wondering if I would pull through 😥 But I’m a tough little guy and I wasn’t giving up, not after I was rescued and given my second chance at finding a new home 🫶

I have to continue being in isolation away from other doggies, and the volunteers have to wear those funny outfits 😷 for another two weeks, but I’m feeling much better, and I can’t wait to get into all the treats & toys everyone has bought me 🧸

There is still a little while to go before I’m completely back to my happy and healthy self, I’m still tired and I’ve lost weight but the dog-tor says I’ll get there! ❤️‍🩹

I would like to thank each and every hooman and doggy that sent me well wishes, shared my post and donated towards my care and treatment 💟 This really helped me pull through ❤️ You are all pawsitively pawsome!! 👏 To think my owner abandoned me, and you all didn’t think twice about helping little ol me! 🥹 I’m overwhelmed with gratitude 🙏

I would also like to thank all the staff that looked after and cared for me at the vets, they never lost hope that I could get well again 🏥They are all just fur-bulous! 🥰

With your help the volunteers tell me that almost half of the funds that were needed for me were raised 🙏 My vet bills accumulated to a whopping $14000 for both my stays at our local vet and my treatment at VSOS. Wow 😮 that’s a lot for a rescue that doesn’t get any funding.

Without you all helping, Rescue Hub would have been really struggling to be able to help me and keep saving more doggies, so thank you 💕

And if you didn’t see my fundraiser and would like to donate, there is still time, and anything helps. The rescue funds are a bit low now if any other doggie needs saving or gets sick 🤒

😩BART is NOW CRITICAL in a NSW POUND😩

We first posted Bart on the 2nd June 2025 when he was a few months old and looking for a home. Sadly we were given information that he was adopted, and this was incorrect 😢

Unfortunately we do not have room at our kennels and Bart needs a home VERY ungently‼️ He will likely not make it on the list again 😭

Bart’s welfare is declining in the kennel environment 🥹 He has been in the pound way too long for a puppy! It is not a place for him to have to grow up 😔

Just look at his gorgeous face! 😍 He has had playtime with other dogs, but as a puppy is quite intense and he is still learning his manners. He would require a meet and greet with another dog if you have one, prior to adoption 🐾

He is a beautiful boy that is so cute 🥰 He is your typical excitable and jumpy puppy when he meets you but this can easily be corrected with commitment to his training 👍

Our little black panther STORM is still on the prowl for her furever family 🥰

Storm is an endless source of entertainment to both herself and her foster carer. Her curiosity and goofy play will bring so much joy to her new family.

At approximately 6 months old, Storm is a sleek and sassy girl with a headstrong pawsonality. She loves watching from the window and then springing into action zooming around before hitting the off switch and happily snuggling on your lap with the purometer running.

Storm is ready to pounce her way into your heart, four paws first, She is always the first in line for food and vigorously laps up her milk before nap time. She adores toys and loves to leap out to surprise you from her tunnel. Storm is a typical playful kitten who will make a purfect addition to the right family.

Storm is litter box trained and although untested, could definitely be introduced to another playful cat 🐈

- He has such an elegant appearance with an athletic build, and short sleek shiny coat

Hi Hooman’s, my name is Bella 💕

I am so very lucky to be here to share my story with you 🍀 I was in a pound just a few days ago & I was due to be put to sleep 🥹 I heard the staff talking about the vet coming and how upset they were ☹️ They did try to find me a rescue but noone came forward for me 😔 My due time had passed and I was so scared 😳 I was hopng and praying that someone would help me 🙏

The time came when someone came to get me from my kennel and I was so sad, I really missed my family and I had no idea how I could find them. Why didn’t they come and find me? 😢

As I was walked out from my kennel I was praying so hard that I would get another chance, and guess what, we didn’t go to the vet, we walked over to a really nice man. It turns out he was a Rescue Hub volunteer. I was being rescued!! 😁 I couldn’t believe it. It was a miracle! 🤗

I later heard that Rescue Hub volunteers were fighting to save me with just minutes to spare ⏳ It was lucky for me the vet was late that day and Rescue Hub thought I was worth saving. Phew, I wanted a chance to find a nice new family and now I can 😮‍💨There was no space at the rescue kennels for me so I was taken to a vet where I am staying whilst I have all my vet work completed before I go to my new home 😊

I am super cute, and the volunteers, the pound staff and the vet staff all say that I am so very sweet 🥰 I just love people and want to be around you hoomans all the time. I’m an older girl so have passed the puppy phase but I do still get anxious in strange environments, but once I feel comfortable and safe I’m more settled. I am affectionate & love hugs, kisses & pats 🤗

Unfortunately I’m in a bit of a bad way at the moment, I was desexed and my teeth thoroughly checked, and now I have to recover for two weeks beofre I have some further surgery and dental work ❤️‍🩹 but Rescue Hub are organising all this for me so my new family won’t have to worry about this 👍 I’ll be happy and healthy ❤️
