This is Marlie, the gorgeous Cocker Spaniel and she had a Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (aka a dental scale and polish 🦷)

While your pet is under anaesthetic, your vet assesses each and every tooth for any loose, mobile or broken teeth as well as checking for any pockets. Diseased and painful teeth are removed (as these cause ongoing pain in the mouth), and the remaining teeth are given an ultrasonic scale and polish ✨

We love that we can make a difference to your pets’ wellbeing - did you know dental disease also increases risks for other diseases in our pets?

Please discuss any concerns you have with your vet if you notice any loose teeth, smelly breath, or tartar build up in your furry friend ☺️

Good morning!

🐌 Snails might be out and about - NO snail / slug bait is safe for our pets ‼️ 🐌

Snail bait can cause seizures, twitching and death so prompt treatment is required to give your pet the best chance of survival. The poison is very toxic, even at small doses!

Often snail baits are mixed with molasses or bran which unfortunately are also attractive to dogs as well.

Best to avoid in your garden

Did you know we pre-warm our patients beds and blankets? This helps to maintain their body temperature before and after an anaesthetic, as it can take 24-48 hours for this to return back to normal after a procedure 🤩
