More milestone achievements reached well done Burley keep up the good work. At 14 months she is shaping up to be a well rounded canine. Her listening skills are amazing and her willing to learn new techniques without treat rewards is second to none. She is still exuberant around other dogs however burleys dominance has diminished. Sh is learning her place in the pack/s. Very proud trainer and very proud of her owners commitment Thankyou

Very very pleased with all the work Mel is doing with young teenager pointer Jet. He just loves his training sessions and I wanted to try a gentle leader with him for a short time. On the way back from our training walk he was 98% comfortable with it. So happy with his progress. Pointers are such beautiful dawgs lol. His manners are near perfect again well done to your mum Mel awesome effort keep up the good work!!

Good evening my loyal readers, just wanted to give a shout out to the lovely 15 month old canine Burley. Star ⭐️ in the making young lady. Very proud to be her trainer. We had another walk with the socially acceptable pooch and burley’s owner came along to gain some insight into what I do. Acknowledgement of her presence around a different dog is vital for this breed then they don’t feel threatened by the other dog. This is what we did and it worked what a trooper. I am so happy we are all moving in positive direction. Small steps and we will get there. Well done Lisa!

Hope everyone and their beautiful pooches are keeping warm these cold mornings. The lovely well mannered Charlie decided that he wanted some comfort and use my oodie as a blanket. When I die I want to come back as a spoilt dog

So proud of young burly whose life started out at the pound and 5 months later she was adopted by a beautiful family that just adore her. She hasn’t had much socialisation. And now after her second lesson walking and training with another dog who loves everyone and everything she is starting to trust other dogs and be responsive in a positive way I was very impressed with all the little milestones she achieved today. A very happy grateful teenager seeing the outside world and other dogs as no threat. Aunty Sara very pleased indeed happy 💃 dance. Well done burly onwards and upwards

Had a great training session with young Burly , female 14 months old, to see how her socialisation skills are with other dogs. Tested her out with an adorable social butterfly. Had to gently introduce with voice commands and praise. Burly is a sweet lovely dog around humans and I will be working with her intensely around other dogs so she has an appreciation and understanding that other dogs can be friendly. What a treat to see improvement after one session onwards and upwards go Burly you can do it!!!

Please be mindful how much our dawgs are affected by the heat. Dawgs can’t sweat like us humans and the way they cool down is by panting. Providing fresh, clean water on a daily basis some love a bag of ice in their blue shell to help cool them off. Freezing an icecream container with some treats or chicken stock can be another option too. Other beloved pets like to drink out of a terracotta or pottery type bowl and others like plastic and or stainless steel. By providing different types of bowls of water for hydration this prevents dehydration and or maybe a urinary tract infections. Even cooking them down with a damp tea towel or hand towel by placing it gently on their back and tucking it in to their collar can assist in the cool down process if you can’t get to a river, dam or water vessel. Good luck puppy dogs and owners. Be kind and hug a dog

Lets talk mental stimulation 🧠🐶

Just like us, dogs can get bored, frustrated, anxious and depressed due to a lack of mental stimulation.
Contrary to popular belief, Mental stimulation and enrichment is just as important as physical exercises for our canine friends.
It has been shown that increased mental activity results in improved mental health and cognitive function.
It builds confidence, releases stress, alleviates boredom & overall tires them out. This in turn can decrease the likelihood of your pet developing behavioral issues such as unwanted destruction.
Here are 5 easy ways to add mental stimulation to your pet’s routine.
1- Have your pet work for their food🥩
Rather than simply placing your pets bowl down and letting them feast. Try placing their kibble in a wrapped up towel, or engage in some tricks before eating.
2- Let your pet sniff and explore on walks 🐕‍🦺
If you give your dog a chance to explore its surroundings through smell, they will enjoy going on walks more & become more fatigued due to then mental load they are processing. But keep them away from other pets faeces 💩
3- Get your pet a puzzle toy 🧩
Puzzle toys are a great way to get your pets mind working. By placing some hidden treats inside you'll spark there interest and work those brains.
4- Teach them some new tricks 🐕
Pets are egger to please and learn. Especially working breeds. Its never too late to teach an old dog new tricks.
5- Engage in more interactive play with your pooch 🥎
Get outside with you pet and engage in some play. Whether this be throwing a ball or playing tug, your pet loves to be in our presence. You'll also be surprised just how good you feel once the endorphins are flowing.

TEACHING DOGS TO SETTLE ON A BED is a valuable skill. They can't be begging at the table or under your feet while preparing dinner. It's a great way to help them settle in a new environment, just take their bed along too. It becomes an 'environmental cue' to relax wherever you place it; at your holiday destination, the vets, a friends house and around your home or office. We break it down into multiple steps towards our end goal. Daisy quickly discovered the value of hopping up on here!
