How chilled is this guy??!!
So she moves on to plan B - dislodging her smaller sister from her bottle.
Getting close to lambing
Our Tawny has put herself into the maternity shed tonight as it’s raining here. Sensible girl. I’ll be keeping a very close eye on her tonight as she’s quite obviously ready to pop & last year we had to detangle her three lambs & help them into the world. I’m praying that she has a much easier delivery this year.
Sweet little rams🩷
A bit of push & shove from Hans & Mikey. Both are very eagerly awaiting their treat of a handful of pellets.
Sheep herding Nelly style
She doesn’t employ conventional methods Nelly, my pup, does get the job of moving the boys to their day paddock done in the end.
Wee little Mikey and Macky, two little sweethearts💓
Playtime with Franny, one of Calico’s twin girls.
I love that Calico’s newborn lambs are very trusting of me.
Yesterday standing & today walking. Woohoo Tabby!!
Thank you everyone for all your support for Tabby🙏🏻😁
Necessity being the mother of invention, today we found a new use for our Sleep Rest.
Tabby is convalescing after being struck down by a paralysis tick & needed to be off her haunches for a spell but her limbs are still not up to weight bearing so we turned the Sleep Rest into a sling lift for her.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this wonderful device, it usually sits diagonally from high to low between two rails & the sheep is lain on her back in it. It is a great way to hold them still when trimming their feet or needing to do anything with their underside.
Please pray for her speedy recovery as we didn’t think she’d make it through the night last night & she’s still not out of the woods. We are dosing her up on vitamin C, B, iron, Recharge hydration fluid & probiotics & this afternoon has begun eating soft hay & drinking on her own again.
