As the dust settles from Nutrien, we couldn’t have scripted a better show to send off one of the great horses to walk into a campdraft arena.

I have been very fortunate to be able to ride Times Up the past few years and to have had so many great runs and memorable wins, but winning the 2025 Nutrien Stallion Shootout was the perfect way to send him off.

If you needed a horse to run a big score or handle any type of cattle he always had a way to get it done. His quickness, cow smart and huge heart made me feel like any cow I picked would go round and if it didn’t, I really felt like I’d let him down.

I’m really going to miss having him in the string but he has nothing left to prove to anyone and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Thank you very much to the Shumack Family for trusting me with him, it’s been a hell of a ride.

Enjoy retirement mate, you deserve it. Thanks for all you gave me! We now get to enjoy watching your babies follow in your footsteps.
