After a week away at Warwick, WP Smooth Talker was back to Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre early to get some shipments out this morning ✈️
He has a busy few months ahead of him!

What a way to finish the 2024 show season!! 🥃

I would like to thank everyone for the messages, calls and texts. We all know it takes an army, a lot of sweat, tears, long days and nights to even get to this point.

I’m very fortunate to have the best of everything. Staff, help team, vets, farriers, chiropractors, clients and sponsors. Without you all giving it 110% none of this can happen.

“Hustle” has been Mr Consistent all year, not only for myself but for Damo in the Non Pro events. Big thanks to Tori Acton and Damien Kenny for trusting me with him. I’ve enjoyed being able to train and campaign him & share it with them.

To my help team Mat Oakley Cutting Horses & Lincoln Veraart Cutting Horses for helping watch cows for every run and being in my corners finding them. I can’t thank you guys enough.

Dean and Corey Holden, for being out front turning me around and helping put the runs together. You guys are the best. Without all four of you, good things like this couldn’t happen.

Thanks to Savannah Brown for always having “Hustle” loped perfectly each and every time he has competed. Also to all of our staff, for making sure the horses are all looked after and cared for all year, thanks so much! Words can’t express how grateful I am for you all.

👉Jack is now with Terry Hall to complete at some drafts while Hugh’s been busy in the cutting pen.

At his first outing with Terry they placed in the Open & Stallion draft at Westmar - 4 scores from 4 runs & running the Open cut out off

We look forward to seeing these guys continue to compete over the coming weeks!! It’s been pretty special to have Terry on him, after he competed on his father, mother and grandparents 🤝

Due to one worker going overseas we are now looking for an additional groom to join the team at Hugh Miles Performance Horses.

📍Location: Dungowan, NSW (30km south of Tamworth)

Description
The position of groom is on offer to help Hugh and the current staff members with his training program of both campdraft and cutting horses as well as sales preparation.

The successful applicant will:
♦️Be willing to work in a team environment.
♦️Have experience in the horse industry.
♦️Be willing to learn new skills and follow directions.
♦️Have knowledge of safe operation of farm equipment.
♦️Operate quad bike safely.
♦️Use initiative and have the ability to work autonomously.
♦️Have a driver's licence (car recommended).

Essential duties:
♦️Maintain and contribute to wellbeing of horses.
♦️Rugging of horses.
♦️Preparing horses to be ridden.
♦️Carry out necessary vet requirements.
♦️Exercising of horses.
♦️Cleaning of stables/barn.
♦️Travel to shows when required.

Benefits:
🐴 Accommodation on site provided for the right applicant.
🐴Pay based on experience.
🐴Rotational days off with other staff pending show schedule.
