Teaching horses to carry their riders begins on the ground. I prefer to teach this on the ground first, even if I'm riding, I often dismount during a ride and refresh the aids and movements if the horse needs it.

Nero and Sebi are just starting to be retrained. They are both off the track and have to relearn old habits. Horses always revert back to what was originally taught. So it's important to get nice relaxed and consistent retraining.

A relaxed mind learns faster and better. 🧘‍♂️🧘🧘‍♀️

Miss Georgia embarked on her training journey today with great success!

She quickly warmed up to my kind and gentle approach, allowing us to make notable progress in her first session. Her natural sweetness and eagerness to learn made for a truly uplifting experience. I am thrilled with her progress so far!

You don't need a horse as this is a clinic for you to come along and watch and learn.

CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear attendees, please note that the Sunday clinic has been cancelled due to other comitments.

However, we are pleased to announce that the round yard is now 90% dry, paving the way for Monty to resume this week and refresh our previous progress. Which means next week it's all go. Let's hope this nicer weather keeps up so we can finally get to the riding part.
