Our hospital will be closed from 3pm on Monday the 18th of November for staff training.
This is part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality care for our patients and community.
Or team will be updating and enhancing our skills to ensure we continue offering the very best services.
We will have a Vet available during this time for emergency cases only.

🥵HEAT STROKE🥵
The weather is heating up which means we need to take extra care of our pets to prevent heat stroke. It’s important to remember that our pets don’t tolerate the heat as well as we do. When we get hot, we start to sweat. Dogs and cats can only do this through the pads on their paws so they rely on panting to keep them cool.
Panting can only control body temperature up to a certain point. During times of high temperatures and humidity, panting may no longer be enough to cool your pet. This leads to an increased risk of heat stroke. Combined with excessive exercise or a lack of shade, this can be fatal.
***Brachycephalic (or flat faced breeds) have a higher risk of heatstroke because they have a decreased ability to regulate their body temperature and pant efficiently*** so these furry friends need extra tlc during the warmer months.
