Stuart spent a lot of his childhood and teenage years travelling Australia with his parents and brother where they would often being chasing lizards and goannas in the outback.

Stuart did a bachelor of Zoology and Marine Biology at James Cook University in Townsville before moving to the Sunshine Coast.

Stuarts passion for snakes came from working at Australia Zoo where he was working in the reptile department with a huge range of venomous and non venomous snakes for over 7 years. He was also feeding and working around huge saltwater crocs and many different species of exotic reptiles like King Cobras and Reticulated Pythons, so working with dangerous animals comes naturally to him.
