Sunday story. 7 years ago Rick & I sold our house ( and my jump 4 joy jumps 😢) and moved to Tasmania. Trucked out same day was Cruise Fynn & our beloved Zero. Rose ceremoniously dropped this filly 3 days before we left so had to wait at friends in Gin Gin till the filly was 2 months old. The trek from Western Australia to Tasmania too harsh for one so young and in the heat the Nullabor has early summer.

So it was, Rose and Velvet Rose, waited to join us. By chance Rick went to Cressy somewhere to get some Hay, for the now growing herd we begun to band together.
There was Piquet Sam Merlin Otto Lynx Max Major Apollo Darcy Desi Comet and few others plus Cruise Zero and Fynn who joined us just Five days after arriving.

Whilst Rick was waiting for the farmer, this mummy horse and baby in tow, called to him. And called. And called.
Rick went closer and she moved away but close enough so he took this photo. And sent it to me

Here were our girls. Safe on Tassie soil waiting a few days before the final leg to Kingston ( where we begun ) Two months had passed since we saw her in person.
Hours and hours from our new home midst the grass valleys was chevals most Beautiful mummy horse with the little filly we had not yet spent time with ( other than to pick her up at hours old to hug & imprint her )

A few days later they were delivered. Safe. And sound. What a journey for such a mum & her new foal
And this. Was how Velvet came to be the magikal magnificent WB you see at cheval now.
Her mum Rose, oh my heart.
Most beautiful mumma ever. 🌹❤️

Just open - New sessions for Short Led Rides now available on Mondays (starting from 23rd December) at 10:30am and 3:00pm.
$60pp, perfect for beginners, seasoned riders looking to get back in the saddle, nervous riders, or anyone!
Come and join us for a gentle plod around the property with one of our friendly staff at foot. Ratio of 1:1 help for those who need it.
Riding time approx 35-40 mins, please allow 1 hour on site.

🌟🐴 🌟 🐴 🌟 School holiday programs for the summer holidays are here! 🌟 🐴 🌟 🐴 🌟

Join us at Cheval for a whole day, a few hours, or even just an hour of horsey fun. We have catered to kids of ages 2 and up, and the whole family can join our short led rides on Sundays at 10am.

Holiday programs will run from December 23rd 2024 until 5th February 2025 inclusive (though we are closed on December 24/25/26 and then again on New Year’s Day). We have Full Day Programs, 2 Hour Programs, Tiny Tots Sessions and Short Led Rides.

Take a look at the flyers and see what might suit you! If you want to enquire about other options or sessions, please ask us and we will try to accommodate as best we can.
