Speed's Rural Contracting is slowing down on the lamb marking for the season and starting on our crutching run, over summer.

For crutching, we have a 3-stand trailer available. We can also drench and needle as we go!

For drenching, needling and backlining, we have a Combi Clamp for smaller mobs and a Roberson Sheep Handler for larger mobs.

If you have any lamb marking, crutching, drenching, needling, backlining or other stock work that needs doing, give Andrew a call at Speed's Rural Contracting - 0427 278544.

We are always a little quiet on the social media front but rest assured we're super busy behind the scenes!!

As Christmas nears and we get ready to farewell 2023 in a couple of weeks time, we would like to sincerely thank our clients for trusting us to look after all your stock needs once again this year.

We have so many incredibly loyal clients who have been with us since day one, many years ago and we have welcomed lots of new clients throughout the year. We are thankful for your support and we look forward to working with you again in 2024.

In 2022 we fabricated a second Lamb Marking Trailer which we are thrilled with. This trailer allows us to work under cover and keeps the lambs off the ground in the muddy/wet conditions we've had over the past couple of years.

Other services we have provided throughout the year include drenching, needing, backlining and applications through the Combi Clamp and Roberson Sheep Handler.

Some of you may have heard on the grapevine already but we decided to branch out a little and add crutching (through a 3 stand trailer) to the list of services we provide. Whilst this is not our main priority, we will definitely take on jobs where it can fit in with our marking schedule. If you are interested in having some crutching done, particularly over the summer months, please give Jack a call on 0437 490 366 (Manning Livestock Contracting) or Speedie on 0427 278544.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank our fantastic working crew! We extended our team this year with the inclusion of 4 Fijians who saw frost on the puddles during winter for the first time ever๐Ÿ˜†. We have our ever reliable Rooster still with us and the inclusion of Trevor on the crutching trailer alongside Jack and Speedie. Keeping it a family affair, Darcie and Clancy stepped in many times when our crews were split and we thank them also.

We still have 3 Kelpie Pups for sale if anyone is interested in one of them, please give us a call.

We wish you all a very happy, healthy and safe Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

Wishing all our clients and followers a very Happy New Year! We hope you had a relaxing Christmas and are able to enjoy some downtime ready to rip into 2022 and whatever it brings.
2021 proved to be challenging in many ways and for our family it was one we were very happy to send off. On a business front, however; it was a cracker! We could not be more thankful to our clients for trusting us with their business again in 2021 and we look forward to working with you all again in 2022. We were fortunate enough to work with some new clients and we are always grateful for the amazing support of our existing loyal clients.
Our business would not work as successfully as it does without our awesome staff, Pete, Connor, Jack and Rooster and the many casual staff we had with us throughout the year, so a big 'thank you' to all these guys/girls.
We have included a small snapshot of some of the projects we worked on last year in between the massive amount of stock work undertaken.
We have a few plans for our business that we hope to bring to life in 2022 and we will certainly aim to increase our updates on this page to keep more in touch.
All the best for a Happy, Healthy and Safe 2022.
Cheers,
Speedie, Renae & Family ๐ŸŽ‰

Well this post has been a long time coming but finally we have got around to putting a few new photos up to show you what we've been up to. Lamb marking/stock work has been keeping the team extremely busy over the past several months. We have enjoyed working with our old clients again and we have also welcomed some new ones, near and far.
The welding workshop has not stopped either. A new stud ram crate was the major project for a few weeks and it came up looking unreal! Shearing shed yards, a new ram shed floor/fit out, chaser bin repairs, customised oversize sign frame along with a frame to suit back of ute tool boxes etc just to name a few projects.
We will add a couple of photos for you to check out. Hope you enjoyed a drop of rain over the last couple of days and fingers crossed for a bit more.

Some more I missed.

Lamb Marking season snuck up on us quickly!! The rain we had last week was very welcomed and hopefully it is back again real soon.
Plenty of variety with our welding/construction work in the marking off season from modifications to combines, ute trays, shearing sheds, silos and construction of air seeder boots, bus stone guards, cattle yards, dog yards, work benches and heaps more. (Check the photos out).
We have a new little apprentice worker (kelpie pup called "Ash") learning the Lamb Marking ropes. Give us a call and book your lambs in if they are ready to go.

Since we posted last, things have been hectic in the workshop. We have had a great variety of jobs over the past couple of months which keeps things interesting. Below are some pics of these jobs.
I have also included an old paper clipping from when a Wagga Saleyard record was broken and then a snippet of some of our clients lamb prices from a few months ago...WOW how things have changed๐Ÿค‘.

A little something we've been working on lately. Very happy with how they have turned out and I'm sure this will make for some happy dogs too. Our dog Izzy was very happy to try them out๐Ÿ˜‰. Looking forward to seeing how this surprise is received very soon.

It has been some time since our last post but we have been flat out Lamb Marking and Welding still. We are growing our marking business, adding several more happy new clients over the past month or two which is great. Below are some pics of clients lambs at Quandary, Gidginbung, Cootamundra, Beckom, Springdale and Ariah Park. Also pictured are some of the workshop projects that we've been busy working on.
