Never expected an old dog to rack up the most kms with me, but here we are.
Milo is an absolute trooper. At 8 years old and tiny legs we do more than 5kms on his 50 minute walk every week, and he’s got more in him when he gets home.
What a little man!

Welcome to the pack emerald 🐾

Emerald was our first ever dog and the reason that we started this business.
Emerald is a reactive dog, she doesn’t like a lot of people and does not like cats or dogs. Walks can be difficult sometimes avoiding her triggers, however over the last few months we have seen a lot of progress and she is no longer as reactive as she was initially!
She loves water play, so this is something we like to include on her walks during the summer for her

Does your dog pull when on a walk?
Do you find this discouraging to walk your dog?

Use these tips to nip this behaviour in the bud!

It is best to lead train your dog when they are still a pup, however if they are still displaying this behaviour as an adult they can still be trained to walk on the lead well!
It takes time, and patience. And one of the key things to take away is to let the dog know you’re in charge of the walk and not them.

Do not pull them if they are pulling. Stop, ask them to sit, waiting and start with a few small steps and begin the walk again.
It is best to start this in the back yard or house, and then move to a familiar walk.
This behaviour can be changed after a few weeks of hard work. But remember repetition is key.
