Update on Apollo… Now called Milo went to his fabulous new home with a very excited family yesterday afternoon.

“He couldn’t get closer if he tried. He will be taking over the whole bed soon I’m sure. He’s found his litter tray and scratching post, such a clever boy 🥰 He got tired from playing last night and decided to stretch out in the middle of the bed 😂”

I think they will need a bigger bed!

Once kittens are litter trained - usually around 5-6 weeks they are introduced to their open playroom. This is a special area where you can come and play too. The kittens have a huge variety of play areas with different forms of stimulation essential for their development.

It has been said that ragdolls are attuned to human emotional needs, which makes them a perfect companion animal. They love to play and sometimes enjoy a game of 'fetch'!

>^•^< Play is a vital part of a kitten's development.
>^•^< Play helps kittens build and maintain the muscles and joints they'll use throughout their lives. It also helps them develop balance and agility. >^•^< Play provides mental stimulation and helps kittens learn about their surroundings.
>^•^< Play helps kittens learn social and communication skills, and how to establish relationships.
>^•^< Play helps kittens learn about their environment and understand their limits. >^•^< Regular playtime can help reduce stress and anxiety in cats which is important when they go to their new home.>^•^< Play can help kittens lose weight and maintain muscle mass. >^•^< Playing with your kitten can help you increase the bond you have with your new baby.

All these points extend as they grow into cats. We play the same games and with same toys with our adults.

Introducing beautiful Sienna… Sapphires daughter who we kept as our new queen >^•^<

Shes a stunning powder blue bicolour with lots of character- friendly, playful and full of energy. Loves being nearby and will make a great mum >^•^<
I knew when she was just a few weeks old she was perfect for our breeding program - she was always first to come running up to us, she led her siblings in play and was constantly the first to escape the kitten play room>^•^<

This is exactly what we mean about temperament!

“Hi Yvette,
Just wanted to show you an update of sweet little Josie. She is the best cat I have ever had. We love her so much, she loves a car ride & visits to family & friends. She sleeps with us every night.

She has the most amazing temperament, puts up with a lot from my 20 month old granddaughter. (Our 1st grandchild).

Ava runs through the house calling out “Dosie, Dosie” and poor Josie just pretends she’s asleep.
She tolerates all the cuddles that Ava gives her, and when Josie has had enough, she simply lifts her paw, but never strikes.

We make sure that Ava knows that the “Paw up” sign means she wants Ava to stop”

Sapphire welcomed 6 new pedigree kittens to the May-Rosa Ragdoll family nearly a week ago. They are being weighed and checked daily and are all doing so well especially Sapphire - it’s a big litter for her! Born on October 24th, these sweet kittens will be ready to join their forever homes from 11th to 18th January 2025. In the next 12 weeks we socialise, feed, litter train, vaccinate, worm and best of all cuddle and play so they are ready for their new families >^•^<

Colours and markings are developing nicely along with their warm full bellies >^•^<

It’s been a big week for Mishka >^•^<
Earlier this year I said she would be retired but she had other ideas… it seems she wasn’t quite ready to stop being a mum. Last Sunday 29th Sept she had one big bub! She then decided to rest and 2 days later she finally had her second bub! Both going great and bicolours. Please DM me if you are interested as I’m now taking deposits.

Apollo is the big boy and Athena is the slightly smaller of the two. Deposit taken on Athena but Apollo is still available >^•^<

They will be ready to go to your home early January >^•^<

Let’s talk TEMPERAMENT…
Which can be understood as an animal’s individuality or character. TEMPERAMENT is influenced by genetics, environment and interactions >^•^<

We take time to select our queens after learning about their genetics and checking bloodlines. Having thorough blood tests to check they have no hereditary health issues and finally taking a lot of time to sit and play with the girls so we can check their temperament. This means we meet them several times to get a good feel for them and after years of building trust with other breeders >^•^<

You should also take the time to get to know your breeder by asking lots of questions while playing with the litter… and be sure to meet the mum at least >^•^<

The character of the Ragdoll
They are known for their calm and very affectionate character. They are very sociable, gentle, kind, peaceful, and curious >^•^<

They have therapeutic effect people with health issues, as they transmit tranquility. We have sold many as companion cats to families and children with special needs with amazing stories of the positive impact they have had on those families >^•^<

This way they improving the emotional and physical state of those around them, these qualities make them popular in gerontological or chronic disease therapies >^•^<

They are very attached to their family to which they dedicate their whole existence. It will be normal to see them continually glued to the heels of people, eager for pampering and attention, so you must be careful not to step on them by accident >^•^<

As spring is fast approaching, we do have some queens starting to call and awaiting confirmation of pregnancy of another.
We have commenced a WAITLIST and have secured deposits. If you have been considering a baby, but haven’t yet completed our waitlist on our website please jump on and fill it out - if you change your mind later that’s ok but better to be on it! >^•^<

Hoping everyone is keeping warm. As winter sets in, we are loving the winter coat our cats are developing… great for snuggles. But we are missing the shenanigans of having kittens in our home and are wondering what our litters look like now. We have had many wonderful visits from 2 beautiful girls who have enjoyed playtime with our kittens every school holiday. The socialisation these visits create cannot be understated. This holidays visit was extra special as they got to pick 2 kittens to take home>^•^<
Cloudy and Stormy are now settled with their new family too and I hear are being incredibly adventurous in their custom built play area >^•^
