Busy day today putting up solar lights at the west side Agistment paddocks thanks Wade and Iona for helping Elissa and Deb put up the lights and of course a big thanks to Bob Brown for digging the holes for us and moving dirt and manure onto the cross country course to improve the course. More lights to come for Robert’s Rd Agistment area and around the clubhouse and washbay.

If you saw all the horse floats on the road last weekend, they were probably heading to the Albury Horse Trials!

We welcomed 315 entries from far and wide (including QLD) and were delighted to see 74 of those were junior riders.

At AWEA we're all about supporting the up-and-coming riders. We always offer Junior sections so young riders can compete against their peers on a level playing field, instead of going up against the seasoned professionals.

37 of our home club (AWEA) members were competing and many of them took home placings, including some class winners!

If you missed out on this May's event, the next one will be even bigger when we put on our Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials 2024 from 25th to 27th October. Hope to see you there.

What is Show Jumping? It's a chance to have a picnic out in the warm autumn sunshine, while watching the magnificent performance horses put to the test of speed, agility and jumping power as they compete for the fastest round with no knock downs.

It's normally an exclusive event, but this year we're opening the Show Jumping to the public and entry is free.

It's the amateurs on Saturday and the high performance/professional levels on Sunday. We'll have food and coffee vans, shopping stalls and displays from our event sponsors on show.

If you know someone who likes horses, or want to get a glimpse of what the equestrian world is all about, you're invited to the show jumping at Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials 2024 and we're looking forward to seeing you there!

Lessons are $60 for a 1.5 hour group lesson. No more than 4 in a group.
Non AWEC members pay a $25 day membership fee also.

Like all of our OTT days, these days are for you to get out and have a bit of fun with your horse, in a low-key no pressure environment.

It doesn't matter what stage you are at, everyone has a great time and it's a fun and supportive environment.

Your OTTB can be at any stage, any age, or not even have raced. As long as they are branded, you are welcome to join us.

I was so looking forward to cheering on sponsored rider Rory Hamilton this weekend at Tonimbuk Horse Trials as he makes his 3* debut.

Unfortunately my car has been out of action the last couple of weeks and while we are scheduled to be reunited tomorrow, there’s no guarantee. So, this weekend I will be staying local and I’ll be behind the lens at Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre for the Jindera Equestrian March comp. With rings on the sand and grass I can’t guarantee I will be able to photograph everyone. Please reach out if you would like me to capture your test. No payment is required to book, and there’s no obligation to purchase your photos.

This Sunday we welcome the Yackandandah Riding Club rally. They'll have riders on cross country and half of the Main Arena (which means the back half is closed to members this weekend). Have a great ride everyone :)

It's Club Rally weekend with the Albury Wodonga Adult Riding Club's first rally of the year on Saturday, and then Wodonga & District Pony Club's turn on Sunday.

If you're planning to ride at either Rally please make sure your AWEA Membership is up to date for 2024.

Border Districts Showjumping Club lovingly care for their collection of potted plants that get used to decorate the jumping course during competitions. It seems that someone has borrowed 10 of the plants from where they are normally kept, could they please be returned asap, thank you.

You can't get much closer to town than AWEC!
We've welcomed three new horses (and their humans) to AWEC last week, and there's still a couple of spots left available.
🐴 close to town, save travel time and fuel costs
🐴 access to all weather sand arena to keep your horse in work
🐴 second sand arena with practice jumps
🐴 network of other agisters and AWEA members
