Connley Breakers

Thursdays done right!
With a bit of a break from the fires with a cool change the last week, Chris took the most of this opportunity to play with some breakers we have here at the moment, with the help of his good mate Mason from M&M.T Stock Horses & Equine Services
The boys worked with:
- "Chester" - getting him flexing, ground work, weight in the saddle and the process of starting to be mouthed.

- "CC" - Brumby C**t, Chris & Amber caught has come into the yards for some handling. Taking everything in his stride and learning very quickly! Dandilla Kayellen (Goldy) Chris's main horse has also come back into work, being a lead horse for these young horses for some guidance.
will be ridden at KOTR next month!

- "Jasper" - Mason bought this gelding up with him for a few days to be started, going kind and softly.

We are all extremely happy with how these young horses are all going, and cannot wait to keep you all updated with their progress.

With a baby on the way, Chris & Amber have an extremely busy year ahead, if you want Merchandise ordered, or any queries regarding the business or horses you are wanting broken in, educated etc. Send us a message like usual and we will get back to you ASAP.

Two big clydie fellas going good. Lovely ride out with my wife Mahli this morning.
Horse Mahli’s riding is going well. Nice quiet big fella.
The big Appy fella I’m riding had his first ride out the bush this morning and went awesome.

🐴 11 year old Brumby Mare 🐴
Has been sent to be broken in. Coming along nicely. Riding out the bush and arena. Was very hot today so she was rides under the sprinkler.

🐴 Mare from Adelaide to be broken in. Don’t know to much about her. Had her first ride today. Seems willing to learn and accepting, so should make a nice horse.

🐴 Clydie Appaloosa 🐴
Had his 4th ride in the yard. Is ready to start the miles. Very smart and responsive big horse. Can’t wait for the final result.

-1 degree drop in sole angle where the DDFT inserts into the coffin bone (affected by Palmar Angle) can lead to a 4% increase in the pressure exerted by the DDFT on the Navicular bone

Over the last few weeks we have been working with East Gippsland Horse Breaker and Trainer. We have been lucky enough to be able to use his facilities to break and train horses.

Here’s a few horses we have had the pleasure of working with over the last few weeks.

This weekend Mason and Dale are off to Strathalbyn in SA for Dale to compete in his very first Stockmans Challenge the Lower Lakes Stockmans Challenge.

Dale will be competing on our old horse Sox. Sox has been in retirement but has been pulled out for one last challenge.

Good luck Dale and all other competitors competing this weekend.

Stallion Auction for Abbie Sweeper

10 year old Abbie had a bad accident on 14th July. She will be in ICU for at least the next 6 months.

There is a Stallion Auction happening with 100% of the proceeds raised going to Abbie to help the family at this tough time.
