A special date with Charlee ❤️ It can be difficult for dogs to tie on their own at times due to size difference or if the female doesn't stand properly. Being an experienced breeder, I am able to assist and can get them to tie when they can't on their own. And it avoids the need for an AI which is also another expense and not always successful.

Body-handling Exercises with the poodles! A dog will need to be touched and handled throughout its life. This involves the dog's whole body and if these exercises are not started from a young age, a dog may become fearful or aggressive towards a certain touch or action. So it's very important breeders expose pups to different exercises, especially oodles who need to be clipped with a shaver. The kids have learnt how to complete these daily activities which includes: * Rubbing ears * Massaging all four paws * Checking/brushing teeth * A belly rub * Feeling vibrations This little girl Rosie has been enjoying some of these exercises since she was only a few days old. The Joys of Breeding Raising a litter of pups is a huge commitment! A breeder has the vital role of providing a foundation that enables a puppy to be well adjusted and better prepared for the future ahead. This includes the critical socialisation period (first 12 weeks) where a puppy needs to learn a variety of skills on how to communicate and interact with the world around them. There is so much a breeder can apply and a great program to guide you is the Puppy Culture course. And even though they are still very young, these puppies learn very quickly. A special date! Chaise visited Monash Veterinary clinic this week for a special date with Miso. The owners preference was to complete a TCI and this is usually performed when dealing with chilled or frozen sperm. Chaise is used to being handled in these situations and allows me to assist when completing natural ties. The vet was impressed that it was his first collection and was able to get a great sample and his semen analysis also came back great!
