Had a lovely day at the first show of the season - Allora - on Saturday. Thanks to Elizabeth Rowe for organising the show. I had to go show the dogs so left Greg with the goats and he did so well with the following results:

The brother/sister team of Bettina and Brynn also won 1st Place in Sire's Progeny (First Fleet Moondance) and Dam's Progeny (First Fleet Betty). Very happy with the way these 2 youngsters are developing.

We have a number of 100% ND wethers, does and bucklings available, some withblue eyes. Our stud was tested in January 2023 for Johnes and CAE, all kids are vaccinated and DNA tested for parentage and myotonia. All kids registered with DGSA. We are concentrating on milk production, udder attachment and teat placements in our does and it is paying off 🙂 with great results in the dairy goat show ring!

All happening at Ivydale in the past couple of weeks. Bluebell started by kidding quadruplets on 5th September. All doing really well. Cinnamon kidded 3 bucklings on 9th September, followed by the next day by Cassia who had triplets but unfortunately she lost one and then in the afternoon, Saffron kidded 5!! Unfortunatley the first little buckling did not survive for long but the other 4 are thriving. We were so lucky as her delivery coincided with a social visit from our vet so he assisted her with a safe delivery.
Three days later Henrietta joined the nursery and delivered 4 healthy kids on 13th. We now have bucklings and doelings available, some with gorgeous blue eyes, and they can be bottle reared if need be.

Blessed to welcome to the world not one but two blue eyed bucklings!! Both sired by our First Fleet Elliot who is the only 100% ND blue eyed buck in Australia - or he was until now that he has two sons!! We will be keeping one but will regretfully offer the other for sale.

First kids for 2022. Stoney Creek Botanica 87.5%ND safely delivered 2 gorgeous 93.75%ND bucklings yesterday 4 July - the coldest day we have had for years!! Both kids are strong and healthy and doing well.

A successful day for us with First Fleet Ivydale Saffron awarded Supreme Exhibit at Kalbar Show. Ivydale Cassia was second in her class and Ivydale China Doll was Reserve Champion. First Fleet Carmen was 1st Place Doe's Progeny Class with Saffron and Cassia. Very happy with the quality of these youngsters.

Very excited to announce the safe arrival of First Fleet Betty, her daughter FF Beth (one of triplets) and a stunning young buck FF Moondance. Betty has an excellent udder capacity and attachment and with the amount of milk she is producing it seems a shame to wean Beth and dry Betty off! Beth is sired by Castle Rock Harvest Moon and we are thrilled that we were able to purchase these animals to add to our excellent pool of genetics. Sincere thanks to Michael Garwood and Ulrike at First Fleet for agreeing to part with these lovely NDs.

Another happy client! Tracey with her 2 wethers she has named Ivydale Fender and Ivydale Mason. "Fender" being a guitar brand and Mason named after Brent Mason, a well known US guitarist who backed Tracey and Alan when they performed in Nashville.

On 24 October 2021, Stoney Creek Acacia 75% produced a blue eyed doe and two bucklings who are just beautiful The doe will be staying with us as she is just too sweet to let go of!! These kids are 87.5% ND

On 12 December, our lovely doe First Fleet Maud produced twin bucklings to FF PPinky. These bucklings are 100% ND and will be going to their forever homes in January 2022.

Gorgeous silver 93.75% ND buckling born Thursday 2 December. His sire is First Fleet Pinky 100% and his dam is Stoney Creek Botanica 87.5%. Lovely as he is, we will not be able to keep him ☹️
