‘Tis the season to graduate 🧑🏼‍🎓 🎄🐶

4 of our classes have now graduated with three more graduations to commence by the end of the year. 🧑🏼‍🎓

Graduation day is always filled with so much happiness as our wonderful humans get to see how far each of their pups has come and the pups are just excited to get all the belly rubs and treats. 🐶

As always, thank you for OMG Decadent Donuts Darling Downs for never letting us down with graduation catering and for those that were able to have donuts, they got a special treat and ball 🥎 🐾

I can’t wait to see most of you in the new year! 🥳

🚨STARTING THIS SATURDAY AND ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT 🚨

With the year coming to an end, unfortunately so our classes buuutt... we have some good news! We have two final classes for the year that have spaces left! 🥳

Currently there are a handful of spots remaining for our two classes:

Saturday 9.15am starting on the 2nd of November
Saturday 10.30am starting on the 2nd of November

So be sure to book in quickly so you don’t miss out 🐕

Are our classes right for you? Great question! If any of the following sound familiar to you, we can help! 🐾

It’s that time again! 🐶

Time to welcome a new crew of TCA students into our third term of the year. 🧑🏼‍🎓

We have classes to suit all pups, no matter their obedience skills or social skills. 🐾

TCA aims to provide help and growth to all pups and it’s our mission to help even the most challenging dogs succeed, whether they’re just trying to master their obedience or trying to rehabilitate into the public. 🐕

✨ Digit and I have recently completed Level 1 classes with Toowoomba Canine Academy and have already signed up for Level 2. The experience has been fantastic, both fun and educational, and I can't recommend it highly enough. One of the standout aspects of the class is the tailored approach to each dog's unique needs. Kaity takes the time to understand each dog's personality, strengths, and areas for improvement ✨

✨ Would highly recommend, within one hour our nervous, fearful boy was walking around the block. Could not be prouder of how far he has come in such a short time ✨

✨ Massive thank you to Kaity at Toowoomba Canine Academy for helping me with Arlo, my St Bernard. 10 minutes into our very first class she had my boy walking beautifully on lead, not pulling and having positive social interactions with other dogs. Kaity is honestly magic, she has a wealth of knowledge on training and dog psychology and her training methods are kind and affective ✨

Good afternoon to all the amazing people that follow us here at TCA!

We just want to apologise for the delay in getting back to each of you at the moment. Unfortunately our directors three year old is going in for surgery this week which has made us fall a bit behind in responding to everyone.

Rest assured we will get back to each and every one of you and appreciate your patience more than you know! 🐾

✨ This is an appreciation post for all the incredible humans and dogs I have had the opportunity to work with since opening TCA. ✨

It’s officially been one whole year! ☝🏼

A whole year of teaching beautiful dogs their basic obedience
A whole year of teaching pups to trust their handlers
A whole year of getting to help puppies start off on the right paw
A whole year of working with the dogs that were turned down by other trainers
A whole year of getting to help lower the rate of euthanasia through rehabilitating anti-social dogs

None of it would’ve been possible without the incredible clients that have trusted me with such an important task and have dedicated themselves to our program and their dogs.

We’ve started with dogs that couldn’t be anywhere near other dogs, that now master our agility course completely off lead with other dogs just a few meters away.

So thank you all again, I can’t wait to spend another year doing what I love the most 🐾🩵🐕

Focus training 😎

Look at Fen’s engagement and eye contact he is giving to his handler. This may look like a small feat, however, when working with a high drive working breed like a kelpie, a lot of effort goes into creating this level of focus. What you can’t see is the large number of dogs and people just a few meters away from Fen (just outside the camera shot) whilst he is maintaining this high level of attention. 🐶

Beginners A Class looking like completely different dogs to the ones I met in our first class week. They all did such an incredible job today at self-regulating with their mats and engaging through distraction work 🐶

I love working with each and every one of you and I’m excited to see everyone flourish and grow into the amazing and confident pups I know they will be 🐾

Absolutely smashing goals! Today we worked on our leash skills and focus training. Only two weeks in and we’ve gone from pups that were pulling, lunging and barking, to pups that are fully engaging with their handlers and walking at a heel 🐕

Im so proud of you all and excited to see what they all look like by graduation 💚 🐶

Our diversion techniques involved presenting captivating objects to the puppies while their handlers called them back and offered exaggerated rewards to redirect their attention. The pups all excelled, but Leanne, Andie and Lulu’s mum, deserves special recognition for mastering the reward system 🐾
