Tonight 5 of team Toowoomba participated in a double tricks trial at the Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club. At first we thought the weather might create problems with the trial however during the trial there was only very light spitting, no enough to hinder the dogs or stop the trial. However, the journey there and especially back was terrible with heavy rain most of the way back. Keith and Teegan got back to Toowoomba at 11:45pm.

The Toowoomba team did quite well, Congratulations them all.

Teegan and Tallis 2 x 1st places in Trick Advance.
Lee with Barney 1 x qually in Trick Dog Intermediate and their TK.I Title.
Rebecca with Indianna getting a 1st Place in Trick Dog Intermediate with a qual.
Rowan with Louis getting 2 x 1st places with 2 quallies for Trick Dog Starter, and their very first Title in dog sports.
Keith with Sasha, getting 1 x 1st and 1 x 2nd place in Trick Dog Novice with 2 x quallies and their Trick Dog Novice Title.

Great result for Team Toowoomba.

I would like to thank all the instructors and staff at the club for their dedication and support over the past 12 months.

Tonight was our final lot of official classes for the year (level 1's have one more night next week due to the wet weather).

If you are going away over Christmas please drive safe and we will see you all back at training on 7 Jan. Remember to make sure your dogs have plenty of shade and water over summer.

Congratulations to all those who have been competing this year and I hope you all continue to do well in the new year.

Tuesday 26th November is supposed to be our last night of classes for 2024. If the weather holds out we will hold classes as normal and draw our Christmas raffle and present our members who have been trialing throughout the year with any trophies they may have earnt.

In regards to Class 1, if weather holds out we will still run the class 1 and if all goes well we will extend the class 1's into December to get you through before the end of the year. If we are rained out yet again next Tuesday we will go to plan B.

Plan B will be notified should plan A fail.

Mother Nature has not been kind to us this month. Unfortunately yet again it is raining and to wet to run our classes. therefore raining tonight is cancelled 19 November 2024.

Stay home and stay dry, please keep practicing what you have been taught to date. Hopefully next week the weather will have cleared.

Rebecca with Destiny get a 2nd Place in Novice agility

Some of the Toowoomba trials competed in various trials over the weekend. There were members entered in Tricks, Rally, Agility and Sprint Dogs. As yet, I do not have the results for all events and will update this post as I get them.
Regardless of how those entered did I congratulate you all for putting in the effort to train you dogs. We all get so much enjoyment being with and training our dogs and it is a bonus to be able to put are dogs to the test.

Rowan and Louis gaining 2 Quals in Trick Starter with a 2nd and a 3rd Place
Keith and Sasha gaining 2 Quals in Trick Novice with a 1st and a 3rd Place

That time of year is fast approaching and we will be holding our annual Christmas Raffle.
We are looking for donations to put into hampers of non perishable items. Lets make this year special. All donations can be dropped off at the club prior to training and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Tickets will be on sale at training 22 October 2024 and will be drawn on the last night of training for the year on the 26 November 2024. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from the club on Tuesday nights.

That time of year is fast approaching and we will be holding our annual Christmas Raffle.

We are looking for donations to put into hampers of non perishable items. Lets make this year special. All donations can be dropped off at the club prior to training and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Well done to all those who came to training tonight and braved the weather. Certainly was not the best night to be out training our puppies but it was great to see so many out in the rain showing their dedication. We do need to train our dogs in all conditions so it was good to see.

Also a big thank you to our instructors who came out in the weather to pass their knowledge on.

Remember keep practicing what you learnt and it will come.

Also please remember training is on unless it it cancelled which will be posted on the page.

Unfortunately training tonight is cancelled. It is not safe to be out in an open field with lighting and thunder. Please remain home and stay safe.

Remember continue to practice everything you have learnt ready for next week. It is also a 5 week month so will not miss out on anything.
