Baby Biscuit is now 14 weeks old ❤️ Like any second child, she hasn’t been fussed over, just thrown in at the deep end of family life. She and Cookie are from the same breeder, but not the same parents, but have the same pretty features and the same sass 🤩

She’s had baths and certainly become familiar with the sounds and smells and big time fun at Dogo. She’ll be ready for a Puppy Groom in a couple of weeks.

No we’re not selling plants, or famous 70’s disco hits…we are selling the most gorgeous range of tough toys, you’ll want to decorate with them rather than have them chewed.

Toys provide enrichment for dogs, stimulating them, giving them comfort and bringing out the inner puppy.

These tough little numbers are made from buffalo leather, using vegetable dies and filled with corn fibre and have no squeaker. So even if they were torn apart they are safe…for you dogo and for the planet.

Cookie and Biscuit are settling into their life together nicely. Cookie took a little convincing, having to share to now share…her humans, her toys, her bed, her walks, her everything 🙄 Their play is noisy and frisky, sometimes scary, but two female Cross Cockers together, and that’s is what’s to be expect so I’m told 😳 Biscuit feels right at home and it’s given 7 year old Cookie a spring in her step 😍

Introducing a new puppy to your older dog takes some planning and research. You can’t expect your previously ‘only child’ to welcome in a skittish little puppy who seams to get all the attention. But it’s all worth it when they start to bond ❤️

Ruby wasn’t really feeling it when she arrived for grooming yesterday, not her usual social butterfly self, so we just took it at her pace and she relaxed right into her grooming. Lots of gentle pats, kisses, cuddles and an extra long massage in the bath and afterwards, she chilled out away from the other dogos in the shop while she waited for her mumma ❤️

That’s the way we do it at Dogo…we practice fear free techniques and we have the space, the time and the right people to ensure that every Dogo has a good experience 😍

Not sure when to start grooming your new puppy? We recommend getting your puppy off to the right start and introduce them to grooming from as early as 12 weeks, a week after their second vax. At least for a bath, or like Biscuit here who had a little puppy groom with a tidy around the eyes and feet and her hygiene area.
Between 5-6 months the adult coat starts to come through and it’s at this time a full groom is recommended as this is when mats can occur as the coat changes.

You want to make sure their first experience is a good one. To set them up for a lifetime of happy grooming you can’t go past Dogo Sapien 😍
