Ben and Belle - the flowerpot kittens 🌸🌼

At the end of November, a member of the public found two kittens in a flowerpot. They were only about 1 week old. 🌻

Our team bottle fed the babies around the clock, helped them toilet, and raised them to be the cutest, cheekiest, and most loveable kittens. 🍼

Now Benny and Belle are up for adoption.

If you would like to adopt one of our kittens or go on a waiting list for our kitten adoption program please give us a call on 5261 4137 or pop into the clinic to chat with one of our friendly staff.

Adoption information:

Price $250, which includes:
• Vaccination
• Microchip
• Desexing
• Worm treatment
• Flea treatment
• Kitten pack

The mango pip pair 🥭🥭

Pictured here are ‘Bentley’ the Labrador and ‘Ally’ the Kelpie who are not from the same family, however were brought in just half an hour apart for being cheeky and stealing a mango pip as a snack, what a coincidence! 🥭

We induced vomiting for both of them to retrieve these pips and prevent them from causing an obstruction or further issues 🏩

As you can see Bentley was pretty happy about it, Ally not as impressed! 😅💕

If your pet has consumed something that they shouldn’t have, it is best to contact the clinic as soon as possible so we can act quickly and prevent their naughty snacking from causing any further harm 📞 5261 4137

⚫️🔵 Heterochromia 👀

Heterochromia is what we call it when an animal has two different coloured eyes, which results from one of the eyes lacking melanin, making it appear blue/white.

Heterochromia is actually fairly common and more so in certain breeds such as Huskies, Australian Shepherd, and Border Collies.

The most common form of heterochromia is hereditary and will become obvious within the first few months of the animals life. Some animals can get Heterochromia throughout life due to accidents or illnesses.

🎄🍫Chocolate toxicity in pets 🍫🎄

As the holiday season approaches, Pet owners should be especially vigilant about the delicious but dangerous chocolate treats that often tempt our furry friends.

While those festive goodies may be a delight for humans, chocolate can be toxic to pets, leading to serious health issues. To ensure your pets stay safe, consider using the MDS Veterinary chocolate Toxicity calculator available online. https://www.msdvetmanual.com/multimedia/clinical-calculator/chocolate-toxicity-calculator

This handy tool helps you determine the severity of chocolate exposure based on your pets size and the type of chocolate ingested. Keep those yummy treats out of reach and safeguard your four-legged family member this Christmas! 🎅🦌🎄
