Meet Axel💙
13 year old Axel was rushed in by his owner after accidentally swallowing some raw chicken attached to a fish hook. 🎣 🐠

X-rays were performed and the fish hook was located within the stomach. After discussing the options, Dr Alice immediately performed emergency surgery to remove the fish hook from the stomach.

Here he is 10 days later for a post op check. Despite his age he is recovering beautifully with the help of his loving dad Geoff. 💙

🎉🐾 We have some exciting news to share! 🐾🎉

Our amazing vet Dr. Alice has just passed her Small Animal Medicine Memberships – a huge professional achievement that takes years of study, dedication, and experience to accomplish.

The Membership is awarded by the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) and recognises advanced knowledge and skills in a specific area of veterinary practice. In Dr. Alice’s case, this means she has undertaken further training and examinations in small animal medicine, going above and beyond to deepen her expertise in diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions.

This is an incredible milestone, and we are so lucky, as a team, as clients, and as a community to have Dr. Alice’s advanced knowledge right here in our clinic. 🐶🐱💙
