Meet Murphy, he is 10 years young Golden Retriever and certified good boy! 💛

Murphy might have a few grey whiskers, but he’s still full of charm, tail wags, and love for treats and cuddles from our team. 💕

He’s not always too keen on heading into the consult room (those brakes get put on hard 😅), but a few snacks and some scratches are all it takes to win him over.

We adore seeing our senior patients like Murphy . They bring so much warmth, and personality through our doors. 💫

Our Pet of the Day is the ever-handsome Harley, who came in for a visit and brought his A-game in cuteness (and snack holding).

His owner tells us Harley’s more into praise and pats than treats, but let’s be honest, when there’s a duck stick involved, all bets are off! 😄🦆

A perfect mix of laid-back and treat-motivated, Harley brightened our day in the clinic.

Meet Mabel 💞

Another beautiful success story from our Stray Adoption Program here at Torquay and Surfcoast Vets!

Mabel came to us with her mum and sibling (who’s also found their forever home 🥰). Now, Mabel is loving life in her new home, especially with her new best friend, Blinks!

She’s obsessed with her cat tower and is often found climbing, playing, or having a good scratch living her best life surrounded by love and new adventures.

Meet Moonah a 9-week-old Kelpie x Border Collie x Husky bundle of energy who came in today for her first vaccination! 💉

🦷 Why do we take dental X-rays🦷

These teeth looked perfectly healthy above the gum line — no redness, no damage. But the X-ray told a different story.

Those dark areas at the root tips (see arrows) are deep pockets of bone loss — hidden infection causing pain we couldn’t see without X-rays.

That’s why every dental procedure at our clinic includes full-mouth radiographs. Because healthy-looking teeth can still hurt.

Say hello to Bella, a beautiful 16-years young Cavador 💕

This quiet old soul melts our hearts every time she visits. She's calm and gentle in the clinic, but that tail always starts wagging the moment her favourite human walks back through the door 🐾💛

Bella has the softest coat, the sweetest eyes, and so much character written all over her wise little face.

She reminds us just how special our senior pets are. Full of love, loyalty, and a lifetime of memories.

Dixie was in today for her monthly Cartrophen injection, and she brought her support crew along, Lexi and Luna! 💉✨

Did you know that grapes (and sultanas) can be highly toxic to dogs? Even a small amount can cause serious health issues, including acute kidney failure 😱

Sometimes, even our own staff pets need a bit of emergency care! 🐶
Meet Archy, our Practice Manager’s cheeky pup, who snuck into a shopping bag left in the car and decided to snack on… you guessed it… grapes! 🍇😬

Luckily, our team acted fast and were able to induce vomiting before anything was digested. Phew! 💉👩‍⚕️

❓Can you guess how many grapes Archy managed to gobble up?
(Hint: It was more than a nibble but less than a bunch!)
