During the day the boys are allowed to browse around the property and by the end of the day they look pretty full. Spocket tends to hang out with me thinking he’ll get treats no boy go eat the weeds but he’s always first to come in because hes closest and knows he’s getting a treat for going to bed. They all come when called such good boys.

Mumma needs a much needed bath all my lighter coloured girls are dirty due to the rain and mud they all need baths🤣
It’s always nerve racking when you add a new goat to your herd and not sure how they go with kidding. But for her first time kidding with me she did such a great job she was watched like a hawk for two weeks. I was allowed to be present. I thought I’d give her space but when I went to leave she started to call for me ( some goats won’t let you near them when they kid ). I believe she needed me there and she knew it. When it was time first born was coming out with only one leg so we sorted that out quickly. Then second born followed not long after and was coming out just his head so I had to push him back and grab his little legs it was a quick labour and birth. I’m also helping feed bubs for now some goats and kids will let you coparent others will not let you so it’s always nice when you have that bond with them. I had a feeling these two were going to be boys they are very special boys too lovely Australian Miniature Silky Goats.
There will be no kids next year for sweet lady Jesara she is taking some well deserved time off and having a break☺️
