We’re starting to get things organised here at GAB!! 2 weeks until pups arrive with X-ray booked to confirm numbers on Thursday!! Whelping area started, vet bedding blankets dug out and my blow up bed for me, is on its way 😬🤣

Finally today our Aspen girl has come home to where she belongs.
How we miss you big girl!! The tears ran fresh again, till we see you again run the green beautiful fields, play in the endless cool crystal blue pools of water and chew to your hearts content!! We will always remember the short time you spent with us, but loved like no other, you weren’t just another dog here in our kennel but a family member. Fly high big girl!!

So we have had lots of messages sending condolences and asking what happened to Aspen.
Firstly I’d like to say thank you for the messages and support.
Aspen was put down due to extended damage from eating a towel and some other hard object that was found in an X-ray.
We tried everything we could but with the high risk of her passing on the table and future issues that may arise due to the extensive damage we chose to put her to sleep, we stayed with her till the end and watched the sun set and held her tight.
I can’t stress to everyone out there with young dogs and at times the older ones, please!! please!! be aware of what your dog is chewing!! Take every step you can to ensure that toys, plastic bottles, towels/sheets/blankets etc are watched very closely and removed or not given.
We have lost Aspen but will watch very closely any chewing to ensure the safety of our dogs and prevent a broken heart to us. 💔😔

Found this pic from a couple of weeks ago, Aspen always wanted to be near us and always close to Holly, they were best mates that always played and got up to no good together, I guess we aren’t the only ones mourning . 😔
