As we all swelter through this heatwave don't forget to think about our pets and their well-being!

* Always provide plenty of cool, clean water.
* Ensure pets have access to cool, shady and well ventilated areas.
* Add ice blocks to your pets water bowl throughout the day.
* Where possible, leaving the air-conditioning or fans on in the house will help keep pets cool.
* If your dog is outside, a shallow clam shell can help to cool them down.
* Provide a cooling mat.
