Just a quick good morning from lil Mumma and her 5 puppies. After 10 days in care we are very healthy and happy
Nothing fills my cup knowing exactly how far we have come to get to this. Little Joey started to talk today and it made me cry. 😢 I know he’ll find the bestest of homes when he is ready but it still makes my heart sad knowing at only 7 months old he is so scared ! 🐶🥰
These guys arrived on the 18th December. They were only 3 to 4 weeks old and after 5 weeks and 2 vaccines today they had their first play on the grass. 8 puppies have all survived hook worm flea burden and grey gums there care was around the clock for the first 7 days. 5 female and 3 male kelpie x will all go up for adoption in the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who donated for their chance at a new life.
After 15 days in care Joey is finally coming to us for love and affection. Nothing is worse than knowing a dog is so scared of you at only 7 months old Joey needed love time and reassurance and even though those things don’t cost money the time we put in here to make sure when animals are adopted they are ready for a forever home. Joey will go up for adoption in the next few weeks we just need to get him use to meeting new people. Have a great Sunday.
Just an update on lil Mumma and her 5 babies. Everyone is well gaining weight and getting lots of attention . Lots of different feeding times during the day so we are keeping them cool with new pools and lots of water bowls . She is just such a sweet little girl and deserves the most wonderful forever home once she is ready .
What a huge day ! Lil Mumma is about 18 months to 2 years old and has had numerous litters @ @ @ . Her eyes have some damage and are not making tears . She will need eye surgery once she is healthy and she has a temperature due to infection. Mumma had bloods taken and a heart worm test which came up negative. Puppies are somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks and have been wormed and vaccinated and vet checked. So onwards and upwards I’m more confident that these babies will live a long life. We are truly blessed to have vets that come to us especially when they have had such a bad start. Mumma was very relaxed and so were her little ones. Huge bills and lists of tests don today but I prefer a gold standard these animals are too precious and deserve only the best.
12 hours in care. We are calling Mumma little girl she comes to that and sadly we don’t know her name. She is in terrible pain to even walk and the infection in her eyes and face is beyond belief. Puppies are eating but are in poor condition. Vets are visiting today and we have done order of food biscuits and milk supplements to click and collect today . Thank you for your kindness.
Joey update ! Beautiful Joey for those who have been watching his story every day he feels safer and more confident. As a rescue group sometimes we have animals here for months depending on their story. The most important thing is the animal’s emotional state and what they need to live a long and happy life. We are here to help the animal to speak on his or her behalf so they are never Rehomed again. It’s all about their future and so many of you know who have adopted through us for 13 years this is not a job it’s a passion to do our part for the animals and the community.
Joey arrived 8 days ago scared and unsure at only 7 months old this little boy needed time and love so I could earn his trust. 8 days in and he’ll come and sit at my feet but if we are outside in the yard he still runs and hides and is very scared of men. Joey will be here until he trusts us so we can find him the perfect forever home. It’s ok when you rescue to have long term animals it’s so worth it in the end when you know you did all you could to find them a forever family. We are not sure what happened at such an early age to be so frightened.
These precious babies arrived a week ago very sick and should not have been dumped at a pound away from their mummy. They are now smashing food , playing and finally feel safe. Thank you to everyone who donated to their care they will be here another 4 weeks or more but have a chance at a long and healthy future.
Friday afternoon feed and playtime! We would be nothing without this amazing community that keeps us going ❤️🥰
