SOS call on Monday from a Regional Pound after this little boy was found walking on the Flinders Highway outside the Puma Roadhouse on the 30th August and where he had to spend his stray time in isolation. His stray time finished at 4pm yesterday and we immediately organised his transport to get to us for this morning. He arrived into our care today at approximately 8 weeks of age. Council staff have named him Puma a little male Terrier X Cattle. He had his first vaccination today and met the most amazing vets, vet nurses and staff at Vet2UrPet & Veterinary Day Surgery, who couldn’t resist the sweetest of faces. He is not available at the moment so please don’t call. Once he is ready he will be put up for application.

Brownie had an outing this afternoon to visit and thank the Currajong OSHCchildren and families for their donations!!

They have been fundraising all year with their recycling of cans and bottles and all their icy cup money going to our animals as well. They also had a basket with washing powder, wipes, pasta and supplies for the carers as well. Brownie enjoyed all the pats and love from the children this afternoon.

LAST LITTER PROGRAM
There was no need for these puppies to be dumped in a drain between Sunday and Monday morning.
We have been running a last litter program for 11 years. These puppies now have no mum and we are feeding 2 to 3 hourly around the clock to keep these precious lives alive.
These babies are maybe 3 days old and I’m thankful that vet nurses stood in to feed them until they could get to me.
Our last litter program isn’t funded by anyone but us selling raffle tickets. But if we can help desex dogs and cats so we minamise the amount of unwanted animals this would not only help the animal rescue groups but it would also help the amount of homeless animals in our region.
If anyone can help
We will need baby blankets, formula baby wipes and washing powder over the coming weeks.
No one gets paid a wage here when you donate money or items it goes back to the animals.
