When someone tells you that your dog should not eat a natural diet because it is unsafe, ask more questions, and get to the bottom of the concern.
Grey wolves, coyotes, dogs, and jackals are all in the Canis genus and these animals diet is a natural one whether that is caught and eaten or scavenged from other animals or humans. Kibble diets were only created to make a profit off the by-products from human food manufacturing not because they were a superior diet for a dog.
๐ฌ Manufacturers successfully convinced generation after generation after generation that their product was the only thing their dogs needed - kudos to them, brilliant conditioning on their part - imagine if protein shake manufacturers convinced us of the same thing and we never or barely ate real food again.
If a natural diet was so unsafe, dogs would not have lived long enough to reproduce, and your modern-day dog would not have evolved to be the dog that sits on your couch today.
๐ Let's have a look at some of the reasons people are told not to feed a dog its natural diet and see how many you have heard and perhaps they might still be the ones that are keeping you feeding a highly processed diet to your dog.

Bacteria are on everything you eat, breathe & touch. People forget that not all bacteria are bad and that in our own digestive systems, we have roughly 100 trillion microbes representing as many as 5,000 different species and weighing approximately 2 kilograms!
It's a bit more complex than just saying BACTERIA is the problem with fresh food diets.
You may be unaware that a dog's digestive system is actually perfectly made to consume its ancestral diet so it has the right pH & the right bacteria to deal with it PLUS a dog's digestive system is much shorter than a human's making it much more difficult to get food poisoning. BACTERIA simply cannot be used as a rationale against feeding a dog a healthy balanced fresh food diet.

You may have heard that fresh food diets were not balanced or too hard to balance so feeding kibble is a much more pratical option.
In our Fresh Food Feeding for Dogs - Kibble Feeders Welcome! group we consistently hear from curious dog guardians that they haven't been feeding their dogs real food because they didn't want to make their dogs sick or something terrible happen to their dog because they didn't know enough - these same people are perfectly capable of feeding children, adults and vulnerable humans in their own families without that fear.

Now, at this point, I will always get someone say to me......BUT I've seen people who think a fresh food diet is just meat or just meat, rice and veg....
Yes, every human is perfectly capable of totally winging something and ballsing it up but that does not reflect the majority, especially the 100,000+ people in our fresh food group and thousands of curious dog guardians who are out there actively researching, these people actually want to learn more about how to feed a species-appropriate diet.
We cannot and should not use the less educated members of the community as rationales to not do something positive and healthy for our dogs.

You understand how healthy humans eat regardless of the different dietary models there are, with some research about species-appropriate nutrition you can do it for your dog too OR you can simply buy it already done for you - let's not make something more complicated than it needs to be.

If you have a dog with a medical condition then you can have a consult with a Vet who is educated in fresh food feeding, they can formulate you an appropriate real food diet, you never need to feed kibble if you don't want to.
